Reviewed By Heather WMy wife and really enjoyed our stay here and have returned since. You enter through secure garden gates so its great to leave your car if you want to walk down into Tonnerre. Its a large interesting garden with placid sheep feeding under the trees and fruit and veg growing in another section. All is lovely and clean and the home made jams with the breakfast are superb. A lot has gone into providing all you need and more, even arm bands for the children in the large secure pool if needed! You will find it hard to beat the friendly atmosphere et al for the price.

Located between the beautiful church of St Pierre and the spectacular spring that is la Fosse Dionne. The farm has been entirely renovated and offers quiet and comfortable guestrooms each of them with private bathroom ensuite. A five minute walk to the station of Tonnerre and some steps to the Burgundy Channal. Bikers and Hikers are very heartly welcome. Possibility to take dinner around our table d'hôte. Choice of different kind of breakfast types. Large choice of different sorts of tea.

Reviewed By Peter DStayed here on night of 10th September. Was not welcomed with a smile but by N unfriendly receptionist, sitting down who I initially had trouble finding our booking. We had two heavy cases and there was no lift or attempt to help us. The corridors are dismal and dark. The fire door half way along, was dirty and like our room needed painting. The room was very basic and needs updating/ refurbishment. On the good side the restaurant meal was very good, albeit expensive. Breakfast was ordinarily but the same unsmiling male receptionist was in attendance. This hotel DOES NOT RATE A THREE STAR and is grossly overpriced for the service and comfort it delivers.

Very beautiful and quiet place to stay
Reviewed By 810nataliakThe location is nice - not far away from Chablis. The place is an amazing palace like from the old times with beautiful antiques furniture. The host is very friendly and helpful. He told us the story of this place. Lovely breakfast using home grown produce. It was so delicious!

Reviewed By Sam MStayed here on a stopover travelling from Les Arcs back to London. Did not disappoint. Everything was perfect. Very relaxed, beautiful interiors and the room was enormous! The meal was delicious - even my fussy eater gobbled up the steak and chips and they also bought the kids a show-stopping plate of cotton candy for dessert - which was a lovely touch. The staff are charming and owner in particular clearly cared that you’d enjoyed you stay. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

Very basic
Reviewed By Michael MThe hotel and the area of tonnerre was a place to spend 15 hours for a pit stop on our road trip. The staff hardly speak a word of English, which after 8 hours of driving made was not ideal. We parked across the road which was very handy, the front of House staff gave me a thumbs up for parking there, wasn’t convinced I wouldn’t get a ticket but having left by 9am it was fine. The room was a bit on the small side and very basic, although it was relatively clean! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a bike store on the ground floor for me to put my bike but it was actually just a semi destructed ground floor bathroom, see pictures. Probably average value for €55 a night.
