Very good stay but hot water issues

Reviewed By echidnatrip

Very clean and spacious room at a very affordable rate in a convenient location. Once the door was shut, it was quiet. We did not use the WiFi so cannot comment on it. Main downside is hot water or lack thereof - it was very cold, then later that day lukewarm and the next day warm. Would stay again but not in the winter!

DISGUSTING and absolutely reprehensible service.

This ‘resort’ has a lot to answer for in terms of its ‘customer service’. Wednesday from front desk is an absolute disgrace to the establishment and should have have been sacked on the spot for her disgusting and reprehensible behaviour. A trivial matter escalated into such an ugly exchange because of Wednesday’s attitude, that when I finally asked for a manager as I didn’t want to deal with her any longer, I was IGNORED. Yes, that’s right, I was told the manager couldn’t be contactable, and Wednesday then proceeded to completely IGNORE me while I stood there dumbfounded. I had 4 children and 1 adult waiting for me in the car at that point- and upon informing her- she reached a new heartless low by continuing to ignore me. I marched over to the restaurant, explained my situation to an absolute angel of a lady at the desk there (of whom I wish I had taken her name but forgot). She could see how visibly upset I was and went to to find the manager immediately. Lo and behold- the manager was indeed contactable and turned up within a few minutes. Any establishment that cared about their reputation, would at this point proceed to make amends in some way shape or form. I was told he would review the footage to verify the ferocity of the exchange, but that’s all I really got. It wasn’t even about the trivial matter this whole thing started off with- at this point it was about Wednesday’s behaviour. Wednesday’s delusional air of invincibility has left me convinced she has gotten away with this kind of behaviour before. This staff member had the ability to ruin the remainder of our stay and absolutely tarnish the Silverwater name for our family. We have been here before and returned with high hopes. It would be an absolute disgrace for any establishment to continue to employ her, or anyone like her.

Compact accommodation. Good value for money.

Comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, hot showers, comfortable bed all necessities were provided. Five minutes walk to San Remo shops. Beautiful beach five minutes drive from motel on Back Beach Road where the motel is located. Car park in front of room was huge. Plenty of space to open your car doors. The only negative was the verandah light, it was left on all night and made sleeping difficult.
