Amazing mountain B&B!

Hands down one of the best B&B’s we’ve stayed at! Anna is an amazing cook and makes a huge breakfast every morning for her guests! We also loved her precious puppy. Bed was extremely cozy and our room was very spacious. She also gave us some awesome dinner reservations! It was the best weekend away. We felt like home here and we will definitely be coming back!

Red Leaf River Inn

The Red Leaf River Inn is a family and pet friendly bed and breakfast just minutes from Waynesville, NC. Tucked away on five acres in the Smoky Mountains, the Inn seems miles away from anywhere but is actually only minutes from the interstate, dining, and shopping. We have five unique rooms, including a two room suite and a freestanding cottage, each equipped with a king sized bed, hand made furnishings, televisions, and en suite bathrooms. We invite you to sit awhile and take in the mountain views, the sounds of our two streams and pond, and the cool mountain breezes.

Perfect spot!

Wonderful to wake up in the morning, lie in bed listening to the birds and babbling brooks and be surrounded by nature. Then the smell of coffee and fresh baking wafting from downstairs and the day begins with an incredible breakfast. We explored Waynesville (shopping, restaurants), Asheville (Biltmore), The Blue Ridge Parkway (sunsets, mountain views), DuPont State Forest and Smokey Mountains National Park (hiking, waterfalls). The Inn is a perfect home away from home. Close to so many adventures, while providing a peaceful place to rejuvenate in nature.

Everything I wanted in a B&B

The Yellow House on Plott Creek was a terrible way to start our vacation!! Of course, I'm kidding, but it did spoil every other location for us. Our room was absolutely beautiful with an internal brick wall, king bed and our own private balcony overlooking the pond. The owner, Chad, was warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. He seems to have thought of every little touch to make this place wonderful. Because this visit was still during covid, we brought dinner home and ate on our balcony. After a good night's sleep in that comfortable bed, we asked Chad for some bread to feed the fish in the pond while we waited for breakfast, which was delicious. I can't imagine a better way to set the tone for our long-awaited vacation. My daughter says this was her favorite place we stayed the whole trip. We will definitely be going back. I can totally see staying here for a girls weekend or a romantic getaway. I highly recommend treating yourself.

Excellent breakfast with fresh vegetables and eggs from local farms was what we enjoyed before we left. With no two hight minimum requirements decided to make a trip to the mountains to see some of the recent snow and to enjoy the local ski resorts. We inquired about availability last minute and overall we were pleasantly surprised with this property. The front rooms for guests without pets are very nice which we toured before leaving in case we came back without our puppy. Our daughter also really enjoyed the owners geode collection and exotic bird! The owner and her brother were super friendly and accommodating. Note there are views all around the property but it’s not on top of a mountain with long range vistas.

Place is old and never renovated. Wallpaper was peeling, carpet was filthy with cigarette burns. Squeaky beds, Mildew odor. On busy road. I didn't review it well enough, so hope I save someone else the trouble.

Love Lane Bed & Breakfast

Beautiful B&B

Reviewed By MKrekeler

Excellent B&B! Super, super clean. John was not there the weekend we were there but his wife, Debbie, was absolutely a superb host. They live on the property which I really liked. Debbie gave us tons of tips about the area we were exploring and by the end of the weekend felt we were friends. Don't hesitate to book this B&B. If you have trouble with steps however, since the house was built in the 1900s, please be sure to specify you need a lower floor room.
