This is our 4th return to Albir Gardens, and it didn't disappoint. We have just returned after 2 glorious weeks. We stayed in the premium room this time which I wouldn't do again if im.honest. The room was amazing, so big, however I just missed having a separate bedroom, not enough storage (draw space). Food was great, plenty to choose from, and the pool food bar was brilliant, also open until 12pm. Bar staff as always a amazing especially the lovely Gaspar, they are always very polite and smiling, even when the pressure was on, as it got really busy at times. The maids work so hard, everyday we were given clean towels and bedding. Thanks again Albir Gardens for a great holiday. Love The Shinglers room D110.

We arrived for a 5 night stay and stayed in room 2010 Robin Hood themed room poolside. Very adequate space and very clean with two bathrooms bunk beds, and a queen bed, a sofa bed and kitchen area with own private gardens lounge area. Little space for storage in bathroom and bedroom but space under the beds for luggage cases. Cleaners are on site everyday and do a good job. No phone in the room which caused a slight issue with the fire alarm waking us up but it was quickly resolved. The staff at this hotel work extremely hard to keep the place clean and running. There could be more choices of snacks around the pool side as there was only crisps and nachos. The queue got a little annoying to get drinks. We took the all inclusive premium package and it was more than enough choices but got abit repetitive after day 3. Always enough tables available, and again the staff were always on hand to be helpful. This is a very large hotel with about 3 pools. Floats are allowed in one area and the life guards were pretty relaxed but doing their jobs to keep everyone safe. Taxi into Benidorm old town was only ten mins away and definitely worth the visit. The WiFi wasn't great and looked as though the plug was pulled when too many ppl were trying to use it. The Waterpark slides are a great addition and plenty of space for everyone. Fun for all ages. Overall definitely would visit again. Lovely hotel and we all got what we wanted which was fun sun smiles.

Noisy hotel, needs an upgrade + some love and passion for people and food.

How to start, and make it short.. Choose to start with some positive. Nice outside the pool-area, quiet neighbourhood, nice staff in the bar. But.. Very tired hotel, should have had an upgrade years ago. Desperatly needs some invested time and money. They wrote "flat-screen-tv". It was ded. Lucky for us we did not need a tv for holiday. The furniture on the veranda was not very nice. The light-tight curtains should have been changed years ago. Not very clean. And so on... We travel a lot. All around the world. This is by far the worst hotel-experience we`ve had, espesially considering this was a 4 star?... We were more than 20 people, placed in different rooms around, ages from 22 - 52, and everyone said the same. This is NOT 4 star. Maybe some years ago? They write; "Great choice for travelers, because here you will find a quiet atmosphere". Where?? The most noisy place we have ever visited, and this travel was out of season! In February! It was deep echo in the dining-area, bar-area, but worst off all, in every room. We could have written down everything the neighbours said, literally. And the disco for old people, in the bar-aeara, close to the rooms: I WISH I COULD SHARE VIDEO-LINKS!" We send snaps to friends and family, they thought we were joking. We tried to be positive, but it was hard to enjoy these 6 days. It is all about the small things. One room did not get new towels for 2 days. We did not get soap refilled, but they gave it to us after we requested it. The beds so hard, it was not easy to sleep well. Added to the rest, it is just a sad place to be. Then food... What about giving some love or passion to it? No seasoning, not even salt. It looked like it was lots to choose from, but it was mostly semi-finished products. Not home-made, tasting absolutely nothing. And we normally love Spanish food! We travel to Spain, sometime just to enjoy the amazing kitchen they have. After eating lunch and dinner for a few days, all the rest of our meals was eaten in different restaurants. But you need to put in some effort into it! They don`t... An old trolley was pushed around to pick up used plates, bumping into everything on it`s way. It is just not very charming. Before all the tourists come back now, take pride in making things better. At least do something about the things that are possible to fix...

A mixture of good points and not so good points

On arrival, we were wowed by the lovely reception area of the hotel but not a pleasant welcome from the middle aged man at reception. No greeting! No smile! And very limited information given. So not really a good start to our holiday. Room was clean and spacious and overlooked the pool. Restaurant was more like a canteen so ok for breakfast but not very atmospheric for evening dinner. Although, food was good and waiting staff were extremely efficient and welcoming. The pool area was quite nice but families ignored the signs about not taking inflatables in the pool so very difficult to swim at times. The sunbeds were in a terrible state and it was extremely difficult to find one that wasn't broken! We often had to sit on broken ones which was not good and definitely not 4 star standard. Good location for beach. Overall ok but wouldn't stay here again.
