We can accommodate 12-16 people in made-up beds with linens provided. The shared facilities include three bathrooms with showers, living room, dining room, kitchen and television. We offer breakfast, a light lunch as well as dinner (by request). You can either rent the whole house privately or rent rooms with linens. We offer 4 double/twin rooms for 2 people and 2 family rooms for four people.

Breakfast is also great. Varied and delicious. Highly recommend a stop here along the ring road. Vik is nothing special so stay here!!

Reviewed By Jüri JWe, my wife Karin and I, made a last minute reservation to stay at Hrifunes Guesthouse. We arrived around 7-8pm and i have to say it was the highlight of our trip in Iceland. We were greeted by a friendly icelandic sheepdog and as we stepped into the main building (recieption) the atmosphere blew us away. Guests were sitting at long table, having dinner and the smell of food was just amazing. The whole scene was like mom had made dinner, all the family was already at the table waiting and we were late without any excuse. Immidiately, I felt guilty for packing myself full at fish & chips joint at Wik earlier. Hadda Björk invited us to sit at the table and served us food. The food looked simple homemade food, but it tasted incredible. I knew the moment I smelled the food that I will hate myself for having that fish & chips before, but also realized that i would never forgive myself if i would skip that dinner. I’m glad I didn’t. Maybe it was just a lucky unique moment that we experienced at Hrifunes, but one must agree that Hadda Björk and Haukur have greated a warm and couszy place for travellers and we are most grateful to find this hidden gem. And sad there were no available rooms for the coming nights to prolong the stay.

Reviewed By egbrabnerWe spent a couple of nights here recently.It was warm and comfortable, with pleasant staff.Quiet and quite scenic and with a nice restaurant on site.There we’re places to visit from here , such as a canyon, some basalt formations, the tomato farm and Icelandic horses.We drove from here to the Glacier Lagoon and back. We had a puncture and the owner very kindly helped us and let us look at his sheep lambing.

Very comfortable and clean but the tvs ? never worked.
Reviewed By AndyJesus34The room was very comfortable, cozy and clean, the dinner and breakfast were very good. The only bad thing was that the TV never worked and when I called asking for help they just said: "oh I am sorry we can't do anything about it" same as the next morning. They say it's a problem with all the TVs and the company that provides the service. So in that case is better not to offer this service if you can't offer any solution or caring about providing a nice customer service.

Reviewed By Frímann BWe stayed in a 4 bed family appointment. Fantastic and clean. We loved it. It's quiet and our kids loved staying here. Well equipped kitchen.. Recommend it highly to travellers. It's located a little bit from the main road (Route 1) but the quietness and the surroundings are worth it.
