10 Villas in Queensland: Best hotel deals for 2023

May 1, 2023 Kelli Reichel

Some of Queensland’s most remarkable sights require you to leave terra firma. Off its coast sits the Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest coral reef. Snorkel and scuba among 1500 resident fish species, or sail through the Whitsundays’ white-sand atolls. Back on dry land, you’ll find tropical escapes in the Daintree Rainforest to the north, rugged outback to the west and alfresco dining on the Gold Coast in the south. South East Queensland boasts mountain views, vineyards and ‘river city’ Brisbane.

Stunning location, great atmosphere and top service offers an excellent break

Really loved the vibe of the place and everything on offer. Plenty of space to feel away from the crowds but a great fun atmosphere coming together in the bar and dining room. Beautiful surroundings - and even for non walkers the trails are really enjoyable. Villa had stunning views and was very comfy - but perhaps a microwave might have been helpful. Staff were lovely and quick to offer help and advice.

Everything we hoped it would be and more. All the extra details such as being walked to our villa, provided a map & talked through the highlights, fresh milk in the fridge, quality soaps & eco friendly items throughout. The villas are secluded and the cafe on site is wonderful with lovely staff and amazing homemade cakes & meals. The villa is immaculate, the gardens make you feel like you are in another country. We can’t wait to come back in summer to enjoy the pool. Thanks for a perfect few days.

We booked a 4 night stay last year. After a couple of changes due to Covid lockdowns we finally made it..And a lovely surprise a week prior was a call to ask would we accept an upgrade to a beach house as our room was needed for a wedding…Reception staff were welcoming and friendly on arrival and on the phone…Our apartment was beautiful. Spotlessly clean.. And very secure..Yes we did have to walk up some stairs but that was ok..Very short walk to beach and the pool was beautiful.. After being in the outback for a week this all so beautiful and relaxing..We wished we could have stayed longer..

Very poor hygiene, missleading communicatiion

Reviewed By Brullma

we booked a deluxe villa for 5 nights. During the 1st night kitchen cockroaches showed up. We addressed this to hotel management who assured us that it is very occasional that cockroaches pass the poison barrier, and they die very soon after. 2nd night we had kitchen cockroaches coming through the wholes next to the glass door (picture attached) plus a large cockroach on he kids bed frame (pic attached). Therefore instead of the most aspired holiday rest, we had a cockroach hunt. i requested to leave and be refunded , the receptionist calculated a refund for the remaining 3 nights . The receptionist advised she would not be able to guarantee no cockroaches even if villa was changed at the time of the complain. I asked the receptionist if i need to document my complain, and she advised that no s and she would take it to the manager. When departing 1.5h later (after packing and preparing 2 kids) she said i should speak to booking.com in regards to the refund since the booking has been made through them. No comment has been made that the hotel would not allow the 3 nights refund. I also requested a refund for the night where i had to hunt for cockroaches' instead of sleeping. Booking then advised the hotel will refund only 2 nights. I found this so unfair -both hotel and booking charging me for having huge holiday disruptions. Besides the cockroaches some other events you can expect 1. the garage door rolled over my car (picture attached) when i was reversing, Luckily there was no damage, but we could not find that out until the next morning. 2. the SPA walls (picture attached) are mouldy, 3. the receptionist provides misleading information, 4. expect snakes in the house. We had a snake in the garage :( I cannot recommend this hotel. Definitely not safe, And we are paying 5 star rates - 300$ /night for ,,bush'' conditions. Hope this helps you to make a better choice for your holiday!

Cosy, comfortable, spotlessly clean cabins. 10 min drive from Cannonvale in a rural setting. Plenty of local birdlife to observe and some shy wallabies if you are patient. Complimentary bottle of sparkling wine was a welcome surprise. Was a little surprised at how close the cabins are together although their outside decks and windows are positioned to enhance each cabins privacy. Kitchenette had full sized fridge, cooktop and microwave. Basic tea, coffee long life milk and some kitchen supplies included. You drive right past the supermarket to get to the cabins so shopping for supplies is easy. Also only a few minutes from Northerlies bar and grill if you want to go out.
