Country open for tourists but hotel no where near adequate - yet 5 star prices
Reviewed By Tour15301674329It was not until we had paid for 4 nights in full - 14000 peso plus per night - did we discover the following absences in the reality compared to the website. Restaurant not open at all - might be open till 7pm on Saturday nights. Coffee shop only open until 2pm. Only eating options are deliveries or very local restaurants. Swimming pool is filthy and has debris. Wifi is appalling and continuously drops out. There is practically no water pressure in the shower and don’t even try waiting for the bath to fill. The rooms and corridors are clean though but it really lacks any other facilities that I would have expected for the charge. Basically just somewhere to sleep.

Room swap scam - downgrade you then pay again
Reviewed By PeppermintchilizI paid for a nice room but they downgraded me and forced me to pay extra charge for my original room. They really didn't care about what my reservation said, it felt like I was talking to a crooked cop. I was the only guest, I guess it's slow and someone needed the cash. The grounds are nice but they ruined my mood for the whole vacation. Avoid this place, there are too many nice ones nearby to bother with this place.

Good for budget travelers
Reviewed By pinkyaniceteWe stayed here on Sep 27 to 28, 2020 during the time of COVID19 pandemic. Sierra Travellers Inn is the same hotel with Red Doorz Holy Spirit. We occupied room #5 (located at the ground floor) and the room at the second floor with own balcony. The rooms are clean and decent enough for budget travelers. We had a comfortable sleep. Room#5's air conditioning is not that cold anymore because the AC is a bit old. Good thing the weather at night is cool. Hot shower is not hot enough for me. It's just warm water. Not a big deal though. No free breakfast or free bottled water. What you paid for includes the room, bed, hot/cold shower, towels. I initially booked with Agoda but found out that Agoda's system does not reflect with the hotel's booking system so I just chose to book directly with the hotel. I paid Php1870 for 1 night, 2 bedrooms for 4 people. They don't serve meals but there's a Filipino-Japanese grill and restaurant next to the hotel with Bahay Kubo so we had our meals there. The food were good and price is affordable. We ordered Beef Sinigang, Grilled Liempo and Rice platter and we only paid P560. All four of us are full! Sulit :) There's also a Sari Sari store near the hotel where we grab some beers to enjoy before we went to bed.

Reviewed By Joseph John Rbooked 2 rooms for 2 nights here for family stay but we decided to forfeit the 2nd night since it was non refundable. Staff are friendly but the hotel lacks basic amenities and needs. Even toilet paper was not availavle. Room was old and was not well maintained, water pressure was weak and hot shower was not stable. No food service available and parking space was limited. On the lighter note, they are pet friendly and also allows kids.

Hotel Brand new but staff need more training

Unfortunately staff are not enough trained and don’t show motivation to help. The quality of the breakfast was not good at all. I recommend the hotel if you talk the local langage and no need assistance. Still a bit over price.

Reviewed By 565isabellaeThis place is awful! The bed, floor, bathroom and tables were all dirty! We can even see exposed sewage pipes at the top of the bathroom ceiling. The place stinks! The sink faucets were covered by rust! It was so dirty that we told them to change the bed sheets and clean the bathroom. It appears they havent been cleaned at all nor linens replaced after the previous customers! Hair and grime were everywhere. The bed cover and pillow cases had bodily fluid marks! Eww! As it was already late and the room was fully paid for, we didnt have any choice but stay there for the night. My mom could not go to sleep so she just sat on the chair. Book at your own risk!

Staffs are attentive, nice, courteous and helpful. Clean and comfy room. Has a wifi for every floor. Air-conditioned room. Cable T.V. with 2 remote controls. Hot and cold shower. 2 towels. Only 1 outlet available so you might want to bring an extension cord with 3-6 gang or saksakan. Great value for money, for a quick get away or breather. ❤️
