Federation Gardens & Possums Hideaway

Great escape, cosy setting

Reviewed By F9299WEkathyf

The Possum Hideaway was perfect - everything needed to hunker down during the cold snap, and great advice for the clear day. The firewood was restocked without me asking for it, and the optional breakfast and pamper hampers were gorgeous. I'll be back! Thanks Jess, Chelsie and the team behind the scenes.

Great park, very expensive

Third visit great location, large flat, grassy sites. We had a credit for three nights. We rebooked, and due to massive price hike, went down to two nights and paid an extra $33. Won't stay here again.

Great, affordable dog-friendly accommodation!

Reviewed By GillianC1348

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, dog-friendly cabin for the weekend. It had everything we needed for a comfy stay, linen and towels supplied, air-con for those cold mornings and a super comfy bed. The cabin had a gated verandah if we’d wanted to sit outside with our dog. Plenty of area to walk the dog around the park. The cabins are in a cluster away from the main road, we had no traffic noise like a previous reviewer. We can’t comment on the kids’ fun facilities as we didn’t have kids with us but they looked pretty impressive. No shortage of barbecues, they’re dotted all over the park. Have booked to stay again.

Flynns on Surf

Full marks for flexibility during flood crisis

Reviewed By emtnems

We had booked to stay in Flynn’s on Surf Beach with the family on the way up to the Gold Coast, but the flooding on the NSW coast required us to reroute through the inland. I had to cancel 24 hrs before arriving, and without hesitation Flynn’s accepted my request for a waiver of the full cancellation fee. Well done and thank you! That is customer service. Hopefully we will be able to book again for our next trip.

Great escape

Reviewed By Lia L

After months of lockdown this was the perfect mini break close to home. It felt very COVIDSafe as we were in our own apartment with no shared spaces and everything else is outdoors. I stayed in the fire station studio with my 5 year old son. The best part of the accomodation was definitely the balcony space, with a brand new BBQ. Great spot to relax with a view of both the river and the harbour bridge depending on where you sat. I enjoyed being close to the main cafe and ferry terminal for ease of arrival/picking up supplies. Another highlight of our stay was exploring the island at sunset, so magical. Highly recommend this to anyone!

Very quiet

Reviewed By shirleyj812

The villa is nice and spacious but is let down by the maintenance, and the vigilance of the cleaner. Upon arrival and getting unpacked and putting things away we found we only had one cereal bowl, no reading lamps in the main bedroom, the aircon flap was kept up,to allow air to come out, with a bottle top. The fridge didn’t have any rails in it, so we couldn’t stand cartons of milk up, the broken bits were up on a shelf. One of the staff replaced the bowls and brought us two new lamps. A filthy disgusting to touch hairdryer was in the bathroom drawer and when I took it to reception was told it wasn’t theirs , being left by previous occupants, as they don’t provide a hairdryer. I must say the beds were clean and comfortable..

Looking forward to returning to do the bushwalks around the property & make some pottery of our own.

Amazing grounds, beautiful and clean room, delicious food and super friendly staff. We stayed there for a couple of nights for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a ranch-resort type hybrid experience. It was absolutely lovely and they had great little touches like mini bar snacks, comfortable robes, quality hair and body products, etc.
