Reviewed By MFA1952The hotel was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were all professional,.polite and courteous. The breakfast was exactly what I expected. The lady working the breakfast was very friendly and she kept everything stocked.

Reviewed By CHBonnerExcellent stay given there wasn't an empty Marriott closer to the Expo. Breakfast was decent even though most everything hot was pre-packages (better quality than expected...good job on selecting a provider). Nice pool and other facilities. Great room too and easy highway accessibility.

So I brought it to her attention that ALL managers appreciate the fact that you could have stayed anywhere else but you continue to choose choice hotels. She came back with a smart remark that I’ve been here for forty years. I said everyone can learn and get better. I also told her that I was very disappointed in her customer service skills. I filed a complaint with the diamond customer service case number 10794733. She does not know how to handle African Americans that have reached diamond status. It’s very sad. Avoid this place

Location is good but hotel is in disrepair
Reviewed By smclain4jcHotel is located right off of the turnpike and close to many restaurants which is nice. The hotel itself is in need of a lot of work. Elevator is not working and while the sign says that it is temporarily out of order, it seems like it has been not working for awhile. Our room was okay but the thermostat screen was not easy to read. Bathroom walls has numerous cracks in it and carpeting needs to be changed or deep cleaned.

Best Red Roof Propery in a long time
Reviewed By DaysofThundr46I have had some pretty dreadful Red Roof stays lately, so this was the last chance for me and this brand. Check in was fantastic. Nicely renovated lobby and friendly front desk person. They took over 2 buildings, but are only using 1. The other is sitting there unused, mostly looks to be storage. The property was a former Days Inn. The room was VERY nicely renovated! Seemed very new, fresh and clean. The front desk person even called my room to be sure everything was good. Nice sized TV (I did not use), WiFi worked well overall, plenty of working outlets. Tub was slightly high up, had hot water and decent pressure. Work desk/chair was comfy. The bed was very "economy" feeling, pillows were decent. The property is very close to plenty of food and shopping. Traffic in the area can be pretty brutal. Highway noise didn't bother me at all. I had requested a late checkout (12p) and set my alarm for 11am, and somehow, slept right through it. Happened to wake up at 12pm and immediately called the front desk apologizing. I ended up getting ready and checked out at 12:30pm. The girl at the front desk (purple glasses) was very pleasant and understanding, no hassle. This properly is VERY well run and has customer service every hotel should have. I will be staying here anytime I am back in the area for the races.

Not-so-good points - I arrived at night and the parking lot was very dark and the hotel sign wasn't even on. Crumbs were all over the floor right under and to the side of the table.

BUT I wish I had known the room had no window, one light was out so it was very dim, and the sink drained VERY slowly (half an hour after washing hands). The door to exit the building had a push-bar but it did not work, one had to turn a knob to exit. This was a safety concern for me. I will stay elsewhere next time.

Reviewed By Leigh RWhat a gem! The weather got really bad so I pulled off the freeway in Somerset PA looking for an economical place to stay the night, and this Budget Host Inn is super impressive! It seems to be newly renovated, the carpet, bedspread and even the walls are nicely decorated, the blackout curtains actually work so I could get a good night’s rest, and there’s even a bathroom heater which I wish I had in my house. The cleanliness is unbeatable for a motel in this (or any) price range. Highly recommended!
