Absolutely wonderful
Reviewed By Robin WI stayed here earlier in June and I simply cannot say how amazing the hotel was. It was such an incredibly calm and quiet place to stay. The hotel itself is tastefully furnished and off the beaten track which was just what I was looking for. The staff were amazing. Filipa was just superb and was friendly, efficient and always had a beautiful smile whenever I needed anything and Conceicao looked after me like I was a member of the family. I loved learning Portuguese with you both, thank you so much. The hotel is rural and once in the village you need a taxi to get to it or get a taxi from Braga station for €20 but once you are there it’s peace personified. The pool was lovely, the food basic but then Portuguese food is that way with fish, chicken and meats on the menu but lovely and if you eat in the hotel it’s inexpensive too. My room was superb, very clean hotel and the best part of my stay in Northern Portugal. Thank you all so much for making me so welcome.

Reviewed By zogoibi zA modest road restaurant, family run, with kind and serviceable staff, very likeable. I ate the best wild-boar cutlets in my whole life! House wine was fairly decent. Unfortunately, they charged me the bread, which is a deplorable practice, probably illegal and certainly abusive. While as a restaurant it's great, as a motel is just average. They were very kind to give me the only room with a nice view, but the whole place is noisy like hell, because it's located by a busy road. And the wi-fi signal (at least at my room) was ZERO.

Reviewed By David PThis place is a real gem of a place what a find. It sits in an elevated position with great views over the village. The rooms are superb, well appointed quite and well just great. they were very clean and very comfortable with excellent bathrooms. its just on the cusp of hotel/ guest house. It has a games room and a tv room as well. there is also a bathing pool which if fed by a natural spring which is great to relax in at the end of the day. It has secure parking and we were free to roam the garden and to help our selves to the fruit which was growing in it. the hosts were outstanding. Just a note to say the drinking water out of the taps was the best I had in the whole of our holiday, so top up your water bottles before you leave. Breakfast was good no problems there. The only draw back we could find was no on site evening meal however at the top of the village on the opposite side of the valley is a great eating place, with great views and is well frequented by the locals and is well worth the effort.

Viemos com a ideia de só dormir e passear mas há tanto que ver na casa do Requeixo que por mais visitas que se queira fazer, a que não pode faltar é à própria propriedade. Não há palavras para a simpatia, a descontração, a amabilidade, a disponibilidade. Enfim, paz, sossego, as cachorras a correrem livremente pela relva sem restrições algumas.... os cavalos... o poder ir buscar ovos à capoeira... tudo UNICO E LINDO.! OBRIGADO SR. LUIS E D. ANA

Reviewed By Mnauel PFoi uma agradável surpreza passar umas curtas férias da Páscoa o Hotel Lanhoso.Situado numa zona altaneira da secular vila, das suas janelas tem-se uma excclente visão sobre a secular povoação, na qual se enquadra o velho burgo que agora se desdobra em novos arruamentos com um novo e bem dimensionado casario. Por outro lado, quem se der ao gosto de subir aé ao antigo castelo, que foi prisão - segundo a tradição - de D. Teresa mãe de Afonso Henriques .primerio rei de Portugal, nõa ficará desiludido com o deslumbrante panorama. Qunto aos serviços nada encontramos de censurável, pelo contrário, porque o asseio, e a funcionalidade são uma constante. Assim, tivemos o gosto de verificar que o pesssoal é dingo de um nota especial, dsicreto, afável e delicado, por isso ficou a promesa de lá voltar o que ainda não foi possivel contetizar, mas breve teremos o gosto de disfrutar desses servços e das belezas das terras da Maria da Fonte
