I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews but with so many places to choose from, do yourself a favor…stay elsewhere. I wasn’t expecting much from a boutique hotel near the beach, I paid for location I get that. But here were the issues 1. No refrigerator (ok can deal with that, asked for ice multiple times, still waiting for it and I’m home a week later) 2. Speaking of waiting…room service? Rang for 10 min so I called the front desk who told me try again they are there, this time it rang 30 min, so I left it ringing while I went to the Diner on 11th street, ate, came back and it was still ringing. What a joke that was. 3. The rooms are attached by a door to other rooms, so if you want a free high get ready for weed to fill your room on weekends for sure. Good luck sleeping at any reasonable time like 4am because your partying with the neighbor like it or not. 4. Service? What service? 5. Safety…now this was my favorite, people fighting in the hallways, asking me for $ as I try to get to my room, love when homeless people are in my hotel hitting me up for change. As I said, I hate leaving bad reviews but for $250-$400 a night you and I can stay at a chain hotel, lose a little in location but be safe, have a fridge, ice, don’t have to party w the neighbors and ensure at least average customer service. The pros: location, water pressure except the sink, you could spit in your hand faster, AC worked.

Bang average at best

I’m writing this review while on the impossibly slow internet in the room. It’s slow season and we requested a room in a quiet area of the hotel, first we got a room next to a construction site. When we moved we got a room next to a group of guys who were partying in the hall till 1:45am. The boxed water they promote on their website is not available, only plastic bottles. The cherry on top was the alarm clock in the room being set to 6am in both ours and the adjoining rooms. The location is fantastic but the service is below par. I’m here for 2 more nights, wish me luck.

We loved being able to order food and the super helpful staff will bring it poolside while you relax. The beach is a short walk away and they provide umbrellas and beach chairs for use. You can also use their bicycles to ride along the boardwalk. We stayed in a long deluxe with a kitchenette and we loved it. Great size and very clean. We would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely Hotel and Amazing Staff

Reviewed By donjenks35

This is a wonderful hotel on a great beach. The staff at this hotel is one of the friendliest I have ever encountered, from the doorman to the beach/pool attendants. Everyone will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. We only had one less than friendly encounter and that was at check in, (he was not rude, he just did not talk to us such as asking if this was our first visit etc. Rooms are lovely and kept spotlessly clean. The whole hotel is so clean and smells lovely. We had one very rainy day which we spent at the bar playing cards. The staff kept checking with us to see if we needed/wanted anything and when I asked if I could have some extra olives the bar attendant brought me a glass full. Great location to walk to the strip, about 2 miles and you can walk along the beach. It’s very quiet and there are shops and restaurants in easy waking distance.

Disgusting room

Reviewed By rachelbI2884HT

My husband and I had a quick 2-night stay in Miami on our way back from the Keys and booked the Shelborne because of the "75° & SUNNY" promotion. I don't know if they give people using promo codes the terrible rooms on purpose, but boy was it gross. The first room we asked to be switched from because it was so dingy. The second room wasn't much, if any, better. Damp air, AC only worked so-so, old grey stained carpet, peeling wallpaper, bathroom exhaust didn't work, and our lights flickered. At 4 am on our second night I awoke to the sound of water -- got up only to find water pouring from the ceiling fixture in the bathroom. Called down to the front a couple times and no one answered. On the plus side, the service outside at the beach is good. the attendants were nice and the beach is of course lovely. Hotel is in a good location, but unfortunately due to the room I will never be returning.
