Reviewed By docker5Excellent balance in price-comfort quality, rooms and general area was very clean. Breakfast was better than I expected! Easy to come and the keys were left to the reseption when we was coming later than the reseption was open.

Good service maner att the counter and really nice views, made the stay great! No complains at all from us! Will come back for sure!

Reviewed By emiliebH105HDNice location and scenery but the owner was really rude towards us. We rented a cabin for one night. The day after we tidied up and delivered the keys. We got yelled at by the owner for not taking off the bedlinens even though cleaning was covered in the price.

Reviewed By FlorenceLomprezWe had the panoramic room looking over the fjord. You can choose between cabin facing the fjord or glamping or room with no real view dépend of your budget. Breakfast wasn’t in the price of the room so we hadn’t but you can boil water in the room and use the tea bag they provide It’s very calm and not so far of the main road and some restaurants It’s a bit pricey for what they offer but I guess it’s Norway

On the coast of Lofoten you will find the old fishing village Kalle situated under the mountain "Vagakallen". Today a holiday resort with authentic and historical atmosphere in a magical nature. Away from tourist traffic, but near airport and Svolvaer. Kalle in Lofoten offers traditional fishermen's cabins as self-service accommodation with a living room and kitchen in one, a bathroom with shower, and at least one bedroom. All the cabins have extra isolation, electric heating and fireplace.Wooden fired tub and Sauna with a stairway straight into the Norwegian sea.

Reviewed By nico_belgiumWe stayed there for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Warm welcome from the lady at the reception, she explained us all proposed activities. The kids really loved to be there, they enjoyed fishing, sauna and swimming in the cold water. If you are not sure what are the best activities, just ask the reception, they are helpful.

Simple accommodation
Reviewed By katerinakR408KQWe drove to Kabelvåg, and chose to spend the night here due to the rain. "Check-in" is an SMS with info about where you will be staying, the key is left in the door of your room - very easy, which is great. The room is very simple with a (hard) bed, and a sink, a cabinet in the wall (cobwebs and unsturdy), chair and table as well - Basic, but you dont need much more for a night or two. It was clean, which is most important to me. The view was terrible, not sure if the room would be on the other side if you chose twin beds rather than a double. There is no sound isolation between the rooms, so if youre a light sleeper i recommend you bring ear plugs.

Skårungen is the perfect choice for a basecamp in Lofoten. You can reach the entire Lofoten Islands within 2,5 hour drive, and the view is impeccible.

Tyskhella Rorbuferie is situated in the centre of Kabelvag, overlooking the Vestfjord and Kabelvag. Tyskhella is an old building dating back to about 1905, and built by Johan Tysk. Originally, and up until 1993, the building was used as a fisherman’s cabin and tackle shed. In 1996 the site was taken over by new owners and restored, upgraded and converted into a commercial overnight accommodation business in compliance with today’s demands on facilities and standard. Tyskhella has an excellent agreement with Kabelvag Hotel with regard to the serving of food and drink to our guests. The hotel is only 30 metres from Tyskhella. The resort includes 12 rorbu cabin style apartments in three different sizes. Each is of good standard and adapted to suit wheelchair users. All of our rorbu cabin apartments have separate entrances, kitchens and bathrooms.
Lovely, warm accommodation
Reviewed By Ebony GI really enjoyed staying at this hotel when I was travelling by myself. The reception (who maybe is the owner) is very friendly and helpful anytime you need. The rooms overlook the beautiful water and it was nice to wake up and look out to the water. The hotel is not close to Svolvaer though and takes around 1 hour to walk there if you don't have a car. Also the taxi is around 200nok into town. I would recommend getting a bike or renting a car if you stay at Kabelvag. If you are like me though and prefer the small quiet town rather than the busy town, you will love staying here. The people are very friendly, the views are nice, the town is quiet, and there are some nice walks to go on. I hiked to some nice waterfalls and a big lake called Storkongsvatnet (maybe 1.5hr walk from Kabelvag). The waterfalls were quite remote and down a dirt road, and there is a shooting range there too so you need to stay on the main dirt road and not go off in other directions. Definitely recommend this hike though because it was the most beautiful place!!!

Reviewed By Kristin WLite hyggelig og imøtekommende betjening som er vanskelig å få tak i. Utilgjengelig i resepsjonen. Rorbuer som skriker etter oppussing og vedlikehold. Råteskader og vinduer som ramler av hengslene. Dårlig stelt uteområder. Får følelse av hybelhus og ikke fine rorbuer i vakre Lofoten.
