Reviewed By adreamvacationMy husband and I stayed here for 12 nights and were very please with the two room suite with living room and kitchen with full size fridge, 2 burner stove and dishwasher. We love the extra elbow room. The entire staff are outstanding especially Bianca and Pamela also. These ladies go above & beyond! They made us feel like family. Breakfast was very good with a different menu daily such as sausage biscuits, scrambles eggs, omelets, ham & cheese croissants, cheese grits and shrimp & grits, oatmeal, waffles and fruit. Great selections. The lobby and breakfast area are nicely done, spacious and comfortable. The onsite convenience store was well stocked with a huge variety of drinks, snacks & food along with typical vanity items and meds. I used the gym every morning and enjoyed the larger area with 2 or 3 treadmills, ellipticals and bikes along with weights, etc. The laundry room is sufficient with 2 washers and 2 dryers @ $2 each. Bring your own soap, etc. It may be available in the store but I always just bring my own. Rooms were cleaned on request only which worked fine with us. All you have to do is request towels, shampoo, etc. and they bring it right to you. We did have our room cleaned once during our stay and they did a very good job. I enjoyed the onsite outdoor pool once. Loungers were nice and the whole area was inviting. The A/C in our room was extremely good! We ate at Boudreau & Thibodeau's and enjoyed the crab/artichoke dip, grilled shrimp, jambalaya & shrimp creole. Also, my favorite by far was Castalano's Deli for the chicken salad croissant, all the salads were amazing, philly steak & cheese sandwich, potato salad and the house cake. Enjoyed Thai at Song Phi Nong Thai and Best Bakery and Chez Cake Bakery. Within walking distance to the hotel is a Jimmy Johns, Moe's and a Regions Bank. Across the street is Walk On's. Very close by is a large Dillard's, Sam's club and Rouses Markey grocery store. We enjoyed Houma and coming home to Homewood Suites each night was excellent.

Horrible place
Reviewed By J8921PDbrianhBooked two nights but upon arrival, we couldn't imagine staying beyond the one night that was already charged to my card, The room was old and in poor condition. The beds were reasonable, but the last straw was the infestation of roaches in the room. I mean they were so many that you couldn't count them all. The walls, floor, and sink had many but the worst was in the bathroom. I realize Houma got hit very hard with the Hurricane, but this was intolerable. It was like camping without the stars. In her favor, Monica at the front desk was understanding about why we needed to cancel the second night through Expedia. Also, Robinette was helpful during my visit.

Reviewed By marynY7424NJThis hotel in Houma, La is really tacky. I booked my stay months in advance then upon arrival it was dirty in the lobby. Then I had to wait for the staff at the front desk to stop playing on their cell phones. The. While she was checking me in she had a phone call where a contractor wanted to book every single room. Then she hung up and all of a sudden the price went up from 71$/night to 300$/night like I didn’t just hear the conversation she had right in front of me. Then I she gave me trouble canceling the room. She really tried to charge me to cancel because SHE wanted me to cancel so the contractor could book every room there. I’ll never book at this hotel again. Who the hell would pay 300$ for a night at a quality hotel?

Reviewed By James DBefore booking please understand that the Hampton Inn, Houma, LA was damaged during hurricane Ida, late August 2021. As were many hotels in Houma, it was closed from some time. It's not ready to be open! We were notified the morning of our stay that the hotel was being "renovated" and that work was taking place from 8AM-6PM. Don't expect your standard Hilton Hampton Inn! This was an older hotel to start with, lower ceiling. The third floor roof of the hotel was damaged by the hurricane and is being repaired/renovated. The pool and gym are closed and a breakfast bag were provided...apple, bottle of water and snack bars. Breakfast room closed. Lots of dry wall dust about. The staff were personable and apologetic for the hotel condition. It was "totally being renovated". The elevator was not working during our two night stay. The fire stairwells were stripped and filled with dry wall dust and equipment. Not good for clothing or luggage. Several rooms have been completed but I don't know if they have room service. We picked up fresh towels for the second night. On the plus, the hotel was quiet and bedding was new. Three other hotels on ML King, near by, are closed with hurricane damage as well. Check other hotels... there are a few that are open and operational.

Amazing stay after being displaced.

We were so surprised with the spacious rooms, cleanliness of the room/ bathroom, and the amenities offered. Our room had a full kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, microwave, full sink, and a full fridge! AND OH THE CABINETS! I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay long-term. The staff was so friendly and supportive. A HUGE shout out to Mrs. Hope. She was so sweet and always checked in on us during the day to make sure we had everything we needed. She was so kind and helpful when we were dealing with the craziness. The front desk was so kind, and always offered any amenities we needed with a smile. The free laundry service was a huge perk! I can not thank the laundry staff enough for always making sure we had more than enough towels every day. To the gentleman who made sure everything was so clean in the lobby, Thank you so much for help anytime I was lost or needed something at night. Overall we were so satisfied with our stay, and can only say good things about this hotel! in the middle of the city, restaurants, grocery, and shopping within minutes of you. 5 Star stay! Thank you again for all your kindness. To, Mrs. Hope. Thank you for making our stay so much better. Your small gestures of kindness made our stay so much better! Thank you for letting me steal your broom throughout the day when my little ones would drop snacks on the carpet! Highly recommend this hotel!

This was the only hotel that had a room available but it was a first comes first serve basis. I explained the situation and the manager was able to hold him the last room available. It truly was a blessing! The staff was amazing when he got there and the room was great. He travels to Louisiana a lot, will definitely use this hotel again for trips requiring him to stay over.

My stay has been far less than satisfactory for the following. -Cockroaches -Door to the room takes about 5 tries to open on a good night -room service every other day at best - no pool which is sadly misleading considering the first smell walking in was chlorine??? - breakfast provided is the saddest array of stale bread, bagels, and biscuits I’ve ever had. - walking to anything worth walking to is knowwhere in sight
