Good location with everything nearby. Clean room, good service, fast internet, good room size, breakfast is very good. Parking underground is very expensive, there is a cheaper parking hall nearby. Will definitely return.

Impeccably clean superior room

Reviewed By sigmundm

Stayed 1 night (Sat. to Sun.) for a conference. They could not find my name on the booking list when I checked in, but it got sorted out. I got a superior room on the 5th floor, the room and the bathroom were impeccably clean, nice view of Smedasundet. Kleenex ought to be supplied in the bathroom. I was late for lunch the first day, and only got the dessert. Breakfast was okay, but not very logically organised. Lunch the second day was simple, but satisfactory. We had dinner Saturday evening at an independent restaurant nearby. Quite a bit of noise late in the evening from the hotel's own restaurant, and from other restaurants and pubs in the vicinity. In the conference and public areas, toilet capacity was very limited. The reception / front desk doubles as a bar.

One of the worst hotels ive ever been to, never visiting here again! First of all, loud construction work all night and we did not even get a warning or any type of compensation for this very uncomfortable stay. Bad service! Just run the other direction

Bad experience. Pretty basic experience for the price. At least looked clean. Don't go, you can choose way better places with better services for that price. We went there because we needed to go to Haugesund Hospital, and it was 10 mins walking.

Banken is my absolute favourite place to stay when around Haugesund! I love the beds, pillows, duvets and linen, they're like a warm fluffy nest! The entire personnel is super friendly and helpful, from the cleaning ladies to the desk people and the managers, whatever wish I ever expressed was promptly fulfilled! Once I was sick and they took really good care of me, called for the doctor and all that. Breakfast is great too, and I personally find their free offer of coffee and tea (sometimes even pastries) in the lobby as a very classy touch. Warmly recommended!

It’s everything you need for a night or two. Bed, bathroom, parking, shower and WiFi. Not anything fancy, but the price is unbeatable. Pleasant staff and comfortable bed. The walls are a bit thin so you might get to hear your neighbor snoring.

The camping site is 3 kilometres from Haugesund town centre. Here you have a good view of the sea and the island Rovaer west of Haugesund. Very nice place, with a view to the North sea, and lots of hiking trails that take you around the area. A nice beach/bathing facility in the sea is within walking distance. The camping is a mix of caravans, camper cans, and small cabins. The staff is superfriendly, and very helpfulin finding the right spot that you want for your caravan. Very helpful, and nice place. Will definitely go again later.

Grandma's WorkSpace.com

If my grandma would have had a smart-office it wouldn't have ergonomic seats made from poly-euro-ether-chineseum, it would have armchairs. Neither would it have a 5 meter zen water feature in reception, but a nice old man with a warm smile. Welcome to the Neptun Hotel, my only 5 star rating in Haugesund. This is not because its the best hotel, but because its the best at what it says it does and that's important when choosing a hotel. The rooms are big enough to feel spacious, have two comfy chairs, a good work desk, a study office chair for the desk and coffee table. The hotel is central, cozy, good WiFi and has a simple gym. I'm not sure how relevant the AM wall mounted radio is but it adds to the hotels old world charm. The hotel was undergoing some renovations during my stay but any disturbance was kept at a minimum. Feedback for travelers would be that there is no gym changing area and the hot items at breakfast are pretty limited however still true to what is advertised. In conclusion, the hotel is both an effective work-space and still comfortable. You can work or relax in the heart of Haugesund and know that this affordable hotel is a good choice if you need it. In this society of false advertising the Neptune delivers on what it promises and the little things (i.e. chargers that reach the bed) are delivered as you would expect. Grandma would be happy.

Just OK .. old hotell

Reviewed By Mr_Sondergaard

The hotell is kinda in need for upgrades. I stayed at the hotel some 10 years ago and they still have the same interior and room. Interesting enough also my old data? The restaurant is a buffet base one food was OK breakfast was actually very high level with wide selection of dishes and food. Can recommend the hotel for Business and if you need just to stay a few nights. Not a holiday location for that location isn’t good for sightseeing. The staff are very helpful with any questions you might have. A good tip is to call and book and stay away from booking sights online.

Home away from home

Reviewed By Travel801462

We stayed in a two bedroom / one bathroom cottage; very cute and cozy with great attention to details. The kitchen was very well equipped and had a large dining area. There is a beautiful back yard with lounge chairs, and we were able to park our car directly in front of the entrance. It's a place I would recommend for a laid back vacation, though we stayed only one night. The only con was that there was only one bathroom, and we were two couples. Oh well, you can't win 'em all.
