Reviewed By DannyB70The hotel is in a really good location for Cartegena city centre access, its right in the heart of the shopping area close to the port and lots of bars and restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathroom is well equipped. The staff were friendly, and professional.

Reviewed By 511mariaceliafThe neighborhood is awful and really isolated. They do not respect the type of bedroom selection at all. Check in on line does not avoid another check in at arrival. It is not so clean either. Although personnal is ok, I do not recommend it at all.

Excellent location

Situated in the heart of Cartagena, the hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from train n bus station, The University, shopping mall of Carrefour n Corte Anglis, as well 10 minutes fm Plaza Sebastian, and waterfront. So if you are a tourist or at a conference, it saves time n money. The breakfast spread was good. There are no electric kettles in rooms or tea n coffee. However when we requested one the staff was helpful n provided one to us. The room was cleaned everyday n fresh linen provided. The restaurant serves good food too so if you would like a late dinner you need not venture out. The hotel is old hence no exhaust in bathrooms and some lobby n corridor carpet refurbishing would help. I also suggest duvets be provided, not just blankets as with the aircon at an environment friendly setting of 25 degrees, duvet would be comfortable but a blanket makes it hot in bed. Rooms and bathrooms are quite big n accomodative compared to other hotels in town.

Reviewed By ConniePerezNot a 4 star hotel. Rooms are okay, but simple. Breakfast is every day the same. They advertise with parkingspace, Netflix etc. etc., but when you hear the prices! Staff is friendly. The music in the lobby is boring. Fourniture in the lobby is simple and looks like you are in a waitingroom of a hospital.

Reviewed By Adrian BMy wife and I have just returned home after a short 3-night break at the Carlos III hotel in Cartagena. The break was intended as a celebration of my 60th birthday. We didn't have to travel far, as we are residents in Puerto de Mazarron, which is some 35kms to the south of Cartagena. All things considered, the hotel was a really excellent choice: The room - on the top floor - was spacious and airy. Breakfasts were included in the overall price of the stay, and proved to be very good, with a wide choice of food available, from croissants and savouries to more substantial cooked items including scrambled and fried eggs, bacon, beans and pancakes. All the staff proved to be helpful yet discreet, and the hotel itself was located very conveniently within a reasonable distance of the Cartagena marina and seafront, and most of the city's other major cultural and historical attractions. We recommend the hotel very highly. It is competitively priced, and has something for everyone.

Reviewed By sallyg1965I was happy with this hotel. It was a short stay but for what we paid it was acceptable. The staff were nice to us and spoke English well. The food was pretty basic but we thought that it might be and took a pleasant walk into the nearby town for the majority of our meals. The rooms are clean and the bedding is fresh.

Reviewed By dobroszpdue to some unforeseen circumstances had to make an emergency booking at a 15-minute notice, during the highest peak of the season in Cartagena, and this place delivered. This is a typical hostel, which charges you additionally if you don't bring towels and linen down to the reception at the end of your stay, the room was tiny, but served its purpose. And even if its freaking hot outside, the temperature inside remains at acceptable levels. Parking on the street, space may or may not be available, and if available, may require some acrobatics to fit.

Reviewed By 429ColinStayed at apartment for five days in September 2015. Exceptional value at this time of the year. The apartment block is situated on a commercial park about 4km. from Cartagena. Parking is easy and free. There are shops, a hypermarket, and restaurants nearby. I had a car but hardly used it, since a 'bus is available at half hourly intervals for access to Cartagena itself. I should imagine a taxi would not be very expensive. The apartment was well equipped, clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend it.

Reviewed By Nick WOwners and staff very helpful in this clean pleasant B&B. For value it's really hard to beat. Spotless bedroom and bathroom together with very efficient Airconditioning make it worth a stay. Easy parking too. It's a bit off the main town but assuming you've got a car Cartagena is only 15 minutes away. Warning though all the local bars and restaurants only staffed by Spanish speakers so take your phone with Google Translate if you want to know what your ordering!!!

The nearest beach is only 6km far from here, and you can find many options if you like walking, running, cycling... Our location is ideal for people who like staying near to the city but at the same time enough far to be able to enjoy with nature. If you like breathing clean air, feeling the silence and you value the show of an open sky plenty of stars at night, this place is ideal for you. We offer free WiFi and always open beautiful swimming pool.
Peace and tranquility
Reviewed By Lorraine GWe also arrived with few expectations and the truth is that we found this place too remote. I'm sure the owners are charming - they contacted us with directions to make it easy to find the place, things looked clean and the place is surrounded by nature and calm but there's no where to walk to in the evening for a bite to eat and drink. We weren't very comfortable with the distance to the city so rebooked at a central hotel instead.
