We booked the family room for extra space and was delighted with the size and layout of the room/s. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, the kitchenette well stocked, the towels were a very high quality and the area was very clean and inviting. To top it off a beautiful full cooked breakfast was delivered to our door. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Happy with the one night stay
Reviewed By sydvalPros; clean and comfortable, could park right outside your room, usb charging slots at the base of the bedside lamps, Kayo & Netflix available for streaming (if you've an account), reasonably spacious. Walked (<15min) into town for dinner, but rode our bikes into town for b'fast. COVID check-in/out procedures were straight forward. My only suggestion is that the cleaners use a less perfumed cleaner/disinfectant - I suppose it immediately tells you the room has been cleaned, but it's pretty pungent. A bit pricey for a motel, but Beechworth is pretty touristy and pricing was comparable to similar accommodation at the time.

Reviewed By LindsayMannOn arrival, we were warmly welcomed and the manager provided very friendly helpful service throughout our stay. We had a good size room, comfortably furnished, comfortable king size bed. Small basic kitchenette, with small fridge, suitable for making simple breakfast. The sink tap/water mixer was too big for the small sink - made it difficult to wash dishes. The ensuite is small and the very small hand basin hampered shaving and brushing teeth. The shower is ok. The living area floors creak. Wi-Fi was not very strong. The laundry has a good washing machine that worked well. We had to park our car some distance from our room which was inconvenient. The room opened onto decking with comfortable chairs and a nice rural view.

The pork belly was so nice the crackle on the belly was so delicious and crunchy it wasn't soft at all, the portions were perfect just enough 4 large pieces of pork belly served with creamy mashed potatoes and butter veggies. My wife had the roast of the day being pork... The roast potatoes and pumpkin were so good the pork meat was so tender and the crackle was one of the best crackle that she had..... Well done Chef very happy with the food job well done excellent service by the wait staff and bar staff too.... thank you everyone We will both be recommending the THE HIBERNIAN HOTEL for a great feed....

Never again after room invaded
Reviewed By 815stevenWe stayed at the Linaker Art Deco Motel on 26 March 2022 Room 306. Never again. As we went to bed, we physically locked the door to our room. Some time during the night (probably round midnight), we were woken by someone trying to get into our room! When questioned the person advised us that he wanted to clean the room and he was sorry. I asked him how he was able to gain entry to our room and he said he was the night manager! So, he was able to override the physical lock. I am not sure why he wanted to invade our room at midnight. Perhaps to look around …. Perhaps he was incompetent – after all he should have known it was occupied! Perhaps he had other motives. Nevertheless, it’s a bit hard to get back to sleep after someone has attempted to break into your room. The facility is old and tired. Calling it an Art Deco establishment is a bit rich. Sure, there were Art Deco features, but it’s a bit like calling your 4 year old’s painting a masterpiece. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke, the corridors smelt “funny” and the whole place was just a little bit run down (despite some attempts to modernise the rooms). And yes I know its only rated at 3 Star but I was let down on so many matters.

Warm and Comfortable
Reviewed By Ian9112015We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Armour, the host Fiona was very helpful on arrival with some good dinner and daytime activity suggestions. The room was very clean, the shower hot and the bed very comfortable. After having had snow that morning we knew it was going to be cold, but good heating and electric blankets solved that issue. The hotel is on the edge of the town with all restaurants and shops just a couple of minutes walk. Highly recommend this one.

Prior to arriving had a courtesy call from reception asking about the time of our arrival to advise they wouldn't be there and where I would find the key. I thought this was great customer service and kind. Unfortunately, I should have asked some questions. We got there later than anticipated and in the dark it was very difficult to navigate where we were going. We weren't quite sure where to park as we saw a 'no parking' sign but underneath it said 'on the grass'. We realised the next day that we didn't read properly and parked a fair distance away. It also took us a while to figure out the rooms were in the main building. This was all quite funny however it felt spooky arriving after dark and we thought we must be the only ones in the hotel. The room was clean, even outdoors. I have found many balconies and terraces are not cleaned and this was. The room was great and spacious. There was a door at the back leading out to the small terrace/balcony with a view of trees, lawns and birds and in the distance, cattle. It was private. Lovely place. There was a noise outside coming from some sort of generator but I couldn't hear it inside. The service was great and helpful. People kind. the room was large with a coffee table, couch, large bathroom and great bed. There was also a desk. Very spacious and very soothing sitting outside. The town isn't a far walk, however, it's quite an uphill walk coming back. There is a restaurant that wasn't open for dinner on the nights we were there but they are open for breakfast, which we didn't have. Great place.

Stepping back into former era
Reviewed By Carole PStaying at The Graces was like stepping back into a further era. The attention to detail of the fittings was excellent. The rooms very comfortable and we were certainly made to feel very welcome. The options for breakfast were very good as the host was very accommodating when we had to have breakfast earlier than the normal time frame. The host has gone to a lot of trouble to provide historical and current information on Beechworth and surrounding area. Take time to read the book that is in your room. Very good value and we certainly will be back again.
