Small villages are scattered through the mountainous inland region, but it's the coast that remains the main draw.

Fantastic Location

We had an enjoyable long weekend at Altomira. It was crowded as it was a holiday weekend but still never felt a lack of privacy in the cabina. Nice staff and store on premises. Town was a short walk as was the Salto de la Novia. Via Verde accessible from the Camp Ground. 2 bedroom cabin was smaller than expected. But sufficiently equipped. On site bike shop was very helpful. Would come back with the kids again

Nice campsite

Out of season when we arrived. Roads a little narrow on site but fine. I imagine the site will be very busy with plenty of activities in high season. Good pitches and excellent toilet/shower facilities. A 5 minute walk to the promenade.

Nice spacious friendly site.

A nice spacious campsite with clean and well maintained facilities. Also washing machines and dryers. There is a small shop and a bar and restaurant too. There were functions on for Christmas period which had to be pre booked. Pitches are a good size and most get some sun. There is water and waste on the pitch. Easy walk down to the small adjacent beach but a bit of a longer hike to walk to civilisation. We had our bikes which proved to be a god send to allow us to get to Villa Joyosa. Our second time here and would definitely return.

Fabulous food, and a lovely setting

Reviewed By PurpletreeLondon

Fabulous food in a beautiful setting. We had lunch on a Saturday and the place was nearly full. The 30Euro weekend menu was superb. Starters included jomon iberico, roasted artichokes and mixed tostadas, and the main courses, steak, roast stuffed trout and roast lamb, were also delicious. Service was good, and the restaurant looks over the river.
