Disappointed!!!

Reviewed By Alison D

If you are looking for somewhere that is good at communicating this place is a no no! So we arrived late because our flight was delayed & the information given at the main reception was poor & non existent! We was told the restaurant was open but only the main menu was displayed which entailed ‘pigs trotters!’ So we had to walk to the shop 3 miles there & 3 miles back after 14 hour day of traveling!! The following day we popped into the restaurant to find another menu that sold burgers ect again no communication!! Note the supermarket on site is only open 8-1:30pm & 5pm - 7pm & not very good when late arrivals need to shop for food!! The bus was our savour of the holiday but again was not impressed to learn after paying £1.65 each trip on the bus that you could actually get a 10 trip ticket for €7.95 which was a right money saver unfortunately we did not find this out until the 3rd day! The eurocamp website does not state that all facilities are not free so the mini golf tennis ect you have to pay for & the biggest thing that disappointed us was that the outdoor pools did not open until 9th April we left 8th!! So could not even sit on a lounger when it was hot!! The accommodation was poor please see pics attached! No oven, no toaster or kettle! Our air con/heater had not remote control & to be honest it looked like it had not been cleaned we both wanted to check out & go home basically!! The bed was like a concrete slab aswell!! If you want a peaceful holiday do not go here as the caravans are so close together & baring in mind we was out of season we had a family behind us that was very noisy & drinking all day! The BBQ did not work either! The only things that made up for all of the above was that Barcelona city was amazing & the weather was too! It is €5.75 one way on the coach outside the camp site which is great value for money!! A recommendation for Barcelona that we loved was the magic fountain a must see & visit the views are spectacular!!!

Friendly Family Campsite

Reviewed By Micky B

Great find. The campsite itself is tight and in a 7m campervan I had to take it slowly to my pitch. Great facilaties, friendly staff. Bar and restaurant area great and the kids loved the pool. Having been in France for two weeks and stopping here we noticed how much cheaper the food and drink was. We only stayed one night but would recommend.

Beautiful place but left disappointed and felt tricked and lack of info.

Reviewed By Kasiagilgotki

I would put 5 stars because location and bungalow were top! However in afternoon we left we got very unpleasant suprise. E-mail from customer service and 75 € charged for cleaning. For not throwing the 3 bags of trash !!! Hello!! Seriously??? Our group of 4 friends cleaned all before leaving since we are not pigs. We had clean the dishes after lovely breakfast in the tarrace ( actually service let us stayed longer and we stayed just to make sure we clean all) - unfortunately there was no cloth to dry plates and pans neither the stander to get them dry. We left them on a kitchen counter organized - not to put them wet in cupboards. We divided all trash into organic , plastic and glass an paper. Cleaned all tables etc. Unfortunately according to the owners of camping we left mess and the price they charged is not adequate. We were informed that all info regarding tips of cleaning the house was in QR code on wall. We came to relax not to check the mobile ….( Wi-Fi’s details was not working to mention as well) I find it inappropriate and tricky not informing about the cleaning duty by check in. This is on purpose to get the extra money from guests…. We were informed about rules of handbands wearing in zone of camping , about facilities about parking spot so why this info was not clear! Even though place was super awesome the bad feeling stays and we feel cheated… so watch out for any additional charges that might come. Ask for everything in details … because otherwise you will be left with such unpleasant feeling of being basically fkd up with your money. 75 € ????!!

Attractive campsite but will not return

Reviewed By 90felicityc

We stayed this weekend for two nights in two adjacent bungalows with our daughter, Spanish son in law and two grandchildren plus dogs. An attractive location but certainly not 500m from centre of Empuriabrava and restaurants - the receptionist warned us it was a 20 minute walk and about 1.4kms and gave us a map and explained the route For our family it was a long walk along a very busy road, most of which had no pavement. It was worth the walk but we had made a provisional reservation for a week next July and we wanted to ear out most days - too far! So that evening we ate at the campsite restaurant. Very disappointing . The worse croque monsieur ( ham and cheese toastie) ever , pre cooked frozen food reheated. Like a fast food outlet . We are used to Spanish campsites with a “ menu” and local cuisine or at least fresh fish, meat and vegetables. We were told the check ces were usually the same on the summer. However the beach was lovely, the pool beautiful ( though carry your own chairs ) , and there were some lovely camping pitches . The dogs were happy and the children liked the sports area. So we went to the reception to see if one of the pitches we liked was available for our selected dates. But we were told you cannot select a pitch in advance ( just a category size wise) , not even fur a premium price, and it is first come, first served . It was recommend we arrived at 7h00 on the arrival date and would then be told which pitches would be free later that day and then we had to hang around the campsite until the previous campers departed but that there could be arguments lasting hours between campers! Unbelievable. Maybe our receptionist had had a bad day but campers we spoke to said the same! Let’s hope the booking system is improved in the future!

Disconnection and good vibes

Four days that have been too short! Funny activities with a nice staff and the restaurant has several interesting and tasty options of food, mojitos (normal and alcohol-free), coffee... Both us, the adults, and the kids enjoyed a lot. All the services are there (supermarket and top croissants in the bakery). We stayed in one glamping and it has been so cozy. Nice days, good vibes... thanks!

Cosy bungalow

Reviewed By Gwaladar

We went to Berga to take part in the Patum festival which startes at 21:30h and finished very late at night, so a place to sleep was needed before continuing our journey the day after. Luckily for us, we found this nice resort in the outskirts of Berga with its wooden pleasant bungalows. In addition to that, we also saw it offers many services to spend some days of fun with children. As for us, the bungalow we stayed in was perfect, clean, very well equipped (it even had air conditioning and wifi) and cosy. For your information, I'm attaching some pictures so you can have a look and make up your mind (and don't miss La Patum, probably the wildest festival in Catalonia! :-)).

This camp site is really great for families. We have been here for the second time. Having experienced even larger campsites and those very small ones, we have the feeling that Playa Brava has the best size. They offer many programs for the kids. The restaurant on the site is all right. The swimming pool is also a nice alternative to the beach.

Fun summer holidays ???

We have stayed at camping sitges many times in August. We keep coming back as it's just such a nice place to relax and spend time. It's a very well kept friendly family run site. The pool is really nice and there is a poolside bar/restaurant (sitting next to the pool in the evening with a sangria is just fantastic). Facilities are spotlessly clean. Don't need a car as can get mon bus from the airport with the stop directly outside. 5 stars from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Clean and nice stay

First time at this campsite, but probably not the last one. We stayed in our own tent for climbing and hiking aorund the area. Showers and toilets were very clean, warm water was available and it was a cheap stay. We couldn't use the bar because it was closed. Water and elecricity available, even a dishwasher if needed. Only thing to improve is to provide soap at the washroom at the toilets.

The worst accommodation

Reviewed By EE1

Stayed for 1 night only. Paid €130 for a terrible mobile home, barely big enough for 2 people, extremely old and run down. Had a strange damp smell, neighbours could see straight into the shower room with no blinds or anything else for privacy. Its quite an ugly site where all mobile homes are very close together. No air conditioning (cannot believe the price for such poor accommodation was justified). Having stayed in many similar campsites in Spain and France we will never stay here again or recommend this site to anyone. Be warned!
