KreisMuseum Zons

An old city inside the old walls and inhabited by modern peoples. Great place where old is interlacing with the new. Nice place close to River Rhine. For 1 euro you can get on the city walls and get a look at surroundings.
The review is not only about the museum but mostly the full old fortified city (established in 7th century), It is an amazing place and is bad it doesn't exist as a separate attraction here on Trip Advisor.
There are also a couple of good restaurants here.

BayArena

Visited the BayArena to watch our first bundesliga game, website seemed quite difficult to navigate so paid for tickets on the gate, which seemed easy enough. Stadium pretty simple to get to (S-Bahn to Leverkusen Mitte and then a 15-20 minute walk). Security is very strict, and they will not let certain handbags in if they are deemed too big, so it’s worth taking a smaller bag / no bag at all.
To buy food/drink at the ground you need a ‘Bayern card’ 10€ refundable for the card and then whatever money you need for food etc. And this system seems to work well! Would definitely recommend if you’re a football fan!

Very different yet interesting museum. Many old cars from various brands. The cars are placed in a nice and organized way. On the second floor, you’ll find old car documents and newspapers from the old days. There is a nice restaurant as well where you can rest have a beer or even a good meal. Totally recommend it especially for older kids and teenagers.

Roman Museum Haus Burgel

Reviewed By James B - Exmouth, United Kingdom

Haus Burgel is situated about 1.5km north of Monheim on the Rhine. Haus Burgel is a working farm based within a former Roman Fortress and houses a small 8 room museum. All the artefacts on display were found on this site, which also includes an Historical Kitchen Garden with plants from Roman times through to the modern day. Our group visit on 7 August 2015 was lead by Manfred Klein who spoke superb English and was very enthusiastic for the site.
