Sebz

We were two adults and three teenagers.
We ordered 3 dishes each. The portions are good and this was easily enough for lunch.
The bbq ribs and Mediterranean chicken were extremely tasty. The meatballs were also wonderfully spiced.
Gambas five or six large prawns in a piquant sauce.
Good service and value for money.
We will return and I can see why the restaurant has been successful as the food is really good.
We have eaten tapas all over Spain and this is authentic food.
Good service as well.

Lily's

Reviewed By Anthony-Phillips - Staffordshire, England

We were recommended Lilly's by the Cathedral staff for lunch. It's just around the corner from the Cathedral in a narrow "old" street. It was busy and buzzy. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was freshly cooked and excellent. Comprehensive menu. More Café than restaurant and all the better for it. Light lunches or a full three courses if you wish. I would expect the cream teas are delicious but we weren't there are tea time. Would definitely go again if we are in Gloucester.

Great food and experience! It was lovely to have had my food chosen in advance (by my husband) and so to have a fabulous surprise at each course. Not too spicy and lovely plantain. The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly.Hi Jokeyo, Its taken a while to respond, but know that your feedback is highly regarded and very welcome! Thank you for having taken the time to do so, and glad you enjoyed your visit. Hopefully, see you soon! God bless, Wanja

Seafood Bar And Grill

Reviewed By FionaChinnor - Chinnor

We came here twice , the first on a 'Fishing Visit' , excuse the pun ! On the first night, we discovered that, this was a great pub that , served good ale plus, a wide menu including a range of seafood dishes. My crab and scallop thermidor was delicious ! We came back the following night and, my husband had the warm seafood platter which , was enormous but, he thoroughly enjoyed. I had a rump steak, frites and a side salad..well, the steak was cooked to perfection ! The chef knows what he is doing here to, produce such well cooked and tasty meals...I think that, whatever you have, you will not be disappointed with his cooking ! Also, the meals on the menu are , not expensive ! £14.95 for a main meal..wow !
The best thing about this pub besides the food is, that this pub does not belong to a 'Chain'. Also, the friendly bar staff really welcome you to this pub and, make you want to go back again ! I would for the 'Food' and 'The Ambience' of this pub .
This pub is within walking distance of, the centre of the city plus, near Gloucester Quays also.Would really recommend it as , a place well worth visiting .

Went today and at 1.10 several of the specials were sold out. Options consequently limited. We opted for the quiche and salad. Quiche was good but salad very disappointing. The potatoes in the potato salad were very undercooked and as were the beans in the bean salad. The dressings were very plain or non-existent. Expected better. Sorry.

MONDAY CLOSED

Reviewed By Alex S - Chester, United Kingdom

I have been visiting Family members in Gloucester now for 11 years, and, have previously complained that there isn't enough time to visit all the good eating/dining places in the City! But, I'm pleased that we made the effort to attend this time! 'Aroma' is conveniently situated on a main street, between the City centre and the Gloucester Docks. They have made good use of the old style building (late Georgian, or, early Victorian?). We had pre-booked, and on entering, were met by a Staff member and escorted to the first floor, and shown to our table. This was right under the original high and wide curved feature window. The Menu was wide ranging, with a good choice of spices, sauces etc., of varied strength, to suit all tastes. My Wife had the Onion Bhaji with a Chicken Sizzler, while I was happy with a Vegetable Samosa and Tandoori Chicken with mushroom rice. A bottle of Merlot was the liquid support. Our upper level had a Waitress in attendance all the time. She was very pleasant and attentive. In all, there was Seating for about 24 persons. There was a washroom on this floor, towards the rear of the building. I can't comment too much about the ground floor, but, it seemed to be of the same style as the upper floor, with a slightly larger capacity. Overall, a very good meal in a very pleasant, relaxed setting. I know that we will be dining there again...

Taken here for dinner with my parents on a whistle stop stay in Gloucester.
Staff friendly and inviting, menu great (my first ever visit to a Nepalese restaurant)
Tried the local beer which was very tasty, and had the Kathmandu chicken which was HOT but full of flavour.
Will definitely visit again when I’m down next.

We are a 30 seat restaurant located next to the Mariners Church in the historic Gloucester Docks. We serve traditional British cuisine and on a Sunday we serve a full Sunday Roast.

We booked on a Friday night but there were still tables free, service was friendly and the restaurant operates a BYOB scheme on alcoholic drinks as they have no licence.
The food is very well cooked using very good tasting ingredients, the slow cooked blade of beef and dauphinois potatoes are perfectly cooked and portions are very generous.
