Wide beaches along the "Flower Coast" attract families and those commemorating the D-Day landings of 1944. Inland, cattle graze in rural idylls and pre-WWII buildings stand alongside modern architecture. Rent a car or take tours from Caen or Bayeux. The landscape around his home in Giverny inspired Monet's Water Lilies, and summer's profusion of blooms is quite lovely. Don't miss Rouen's old town and cathedral, Caen's cathedral, Bayeaux's tapestry and the ancient island-abbey of Mont-St-Michel.

We went to Etretat to spend a full week-end between closed friends and we enjoyed a lot this place. After searching the right one, I finally found this intimate hotel and I was lucky enough to book two rooms. It was just heaven on hearth from the beginning till the end. Nothing to say except that we had great time there in the castel and with the experimented and natural team. The breakfast was just amazing and we got the last one on the terrasse with the sea in front. Very calm and cosy hotel with a safety place for the cars which is useful and worthy comparing to the busiest center of town! We will never forget this time spent there!

If you’re looking for something to do, Notre Dame de la Paix de Pontorson (0.2 mi) is a nice way to spend some time, and it is within walking distance of L'Ame du Gourmand. Enjoy your stay in Pontorson!
The room at the hotel was a bit of the old-fashioned French variety with each bath fixture opening directly into the bedroom without sound isolation. For the price it is fine but I would advise staying closer to Mont St. Michel as the hotels are more up to date although lacking in charm. The breakfast was copious and included in the price and one can help themselves to coffee or tea at any time which is a lovely aspect to the place. the town is rather drab but does have many boulangeries and restaurants and creperies and was chosen by me because there is a public bus to take to Mont St. Michel from the railroad station, about a block away. The parking situation fro Mont St. Michel sounded really complicated so I tried to avoid it by stqying in Pontorson, but now that I have been there, I think the parking would have been fine. Very nice to sit at breakfast and talk with other guests from other countries.

We came here just for one night because we wanted to see Mont Saint-Michel. Happy it was just one night. The place is really worn down. Looks quite sad and it goes even down to the towels. The towels were so worn they even had holes. The place was not properly cleaned with old spider webs, sticky floor, definitely not cleaned underneath the table and the kitchen didn’t even have a proper mug to make yourself a cup of tea. The beds were hard as sleeping on the floor, even our small daughter complained. For seeing the monastery fine but don’t expect anything!

Venez découvrir la côte d'Albâtre en faisant une petite halte dans l'une de nos 4 chambres dont les capacités varient de 2 à 4 personnes.
Title says it all: chamber was spacious and comfortable, if with rather poor soundproof. It's a charming, old building in an even more charming spot in the middle of nature. Breakfast in the morning was a dream, with a lot of selfmade jams, butter, juices, all crammed into cute pots and reusable bottles. The owner, Lise, was a very nice woman, who made it a point to interact with her guests and provided valued tips and suggestions for the rest of our trip.

A green oasis in Normandy. Le Moulin du Vey proposes cottages and rooms in the heart of Normandy. We invite you to come and enjoy the green countryside of Normandy called Suisse Normande. Take time out to relax and enjoy everything this wonderful spot has to offer from the flowing rivers to the rolling hills. Your stay at Le Moulin du Vey, a charming watermill which has been sympathetically restored : the authenticity, the hospitality, the conviviality and a complete offer of leisure and outdoor activities.
We have just spent 3 very pleasant nights in this simple, but comfortable and quiet, chambres d'hotes in the Suisse Normande. Situated in its own pretty and extensive grounds, this converted mill house is just across the river Orne from several restaurants, and places for hiring kayaks and boats. Our hosts were considerate intelligent people who made us feel very welcome.

Find a cave or sleep in your car I have never experienced a room like this room 15 I have photographs to prove what I am saying to be true .It was virtually impossible to use the toilet also I have photographs the inspector of Contact hotels must have missed room 15 because he would not sign off on this hotel. They say in there brochure there is parking facilities for free what they don't tell you is you must have the driving skills of a formula 1 ace.Never again, and to think he could charge 59.70 euro for the experience.

We booked the Bellevue Suite for 11 nights, because we loved the pictures and were looking forward to a relaxing holiday in the idyllic countryside. Unfortunately, our time there turned out to be everything but relaxing. Right on the first day Bertrand, our host, informed us that in 5 days he'll move us to a different room because there is some other family who wants to stay in our room. He didn't ask our opinion or apologized for the inconvinience. We didn't want to move, because we wanted to stay in the room that we had specifically booked. Besides, who wants to spend vacation packing and moving for no good reason?! Five days later he insisted again that we move, and when we refused, became rude and loud saying "No, you will move, you are at MY place". He treated us not as paying customers, but rather as unwanted guests whom he was doing a favour to. Considering the high room prices and the fact that we booked such a long stay in these difficult Corona times, this is inexcusable! There is no WiFi in the room, contrary to what it says on the website, and since one of us needed internet for work, we had to use the WiFi in the breakfast room which was also unstable. As far as the rest of the service is concerned, the host takes care of everything all alone and therefore, being stressed, constantly misses something. On our first day there was just one bath towel in our room, we asked for another one twice and finally both had to dry ourselves with one towel after shower. We also had to ask the host to empty the garbage bin and refill toilet paper, because he didn't do it on his own. For every request we had to look for him and wait several hours. Not a single time did Bertrand apologize for any of the shortcomings, and once we refused to switch rooms, he calles us "hard to please". Overall, this behaviour on his part made the atmosphere hostile and unbearable, so that we decided to cut short our stay and left. It's a shame that such a relaxing place is completely ruined by an impolite host!
