Wonderful people working there.. The young man at the desk was very nice and informative. The hotel was great. Clean and very reasonable. I stayed at the Omni in Ft Worth and I liked the Clarion just as much or more. They also had a free breakfast which was one of the best free ones I’ve ever had. Good coffee also. If in the area and staying this is a great place to stay.

Reviewed By jillk292Needed a room for the night. Disappointed in everyway. The hallways and elevator were dirty. The room had no chair to sit in. Bed was very hard and sheets had stains on them. The soap looked like it had been used before. Wash rags and towels were very thin. Handle on the tub was barely hanging on. The breakfast was a diabetic nightmare. There was only waffles, bread, and 2 types of sweet cereal. When I see the name Wyndham I except a little more classy place to stay.

Motel 6 Sulphur Springs Texas is conveniently located off of I-30. All of our smoke-free rooms have a modern look with a 32 inch flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi is available and micro-fridge units available upon request. Truck parking is also available.
Worst chain affiliate I've ever seen!
Reviewed By D4700ZEjohnjIf you want a room that looks like a crime scene (or horror movie set) this is the place for you! Bloodstained sheets in one room, and blood splatter on walls in the other! Brown water from facet, which management said may clear up... Very strange & creepy place. Most tenants appeared to be long term residents; one proudly told us he'd been there 3 months. Front door was quite difficult to latch (LOCK) due to it's poor fit. Front door fit SO POORLY that automotive fumes entered the rooms at an alarming rate! Fortunately, from a fume generation perspective, only about 1/2 of the vehicles in the lot actually were operable, with the rest appearing abandoned, in various stages of decomposition! Deep dirt in EVERY corner (shelves counters etc.) Zero amenities EXCEPT a soda-pop machine. Very oddly they had no coffee pots in rooms (I had BOTTLED WATER I could have used) AND no coffee available in "Lobby" (an area with the soda machine & security glass between management & patrons!) The other 1/2 of "lobby" (which may have originally been for daytime access to employee at counter) was locked 24-7. It seems highly unlikely that this place would be in business but for the large number of permanent residents because there was a Quality Inn NEXT DOOR which was normal. Quality was ALSO WHERE we moved to for our 2nd & 3rd nights in town after one exceedingly unpleasant night at Motel Six (where we had booked 3 nights sight unseen...) Quality Inn was booked full our first night... We were not traveling with any pets, although I often do take my dog along. I appreciate Motel 6 chains being pet friendly & I have stayed at various ones in my travels. I would not leave my dog stay at this Motel 6.

Average but not as they used to be
Reviewed By lutegirlThis is pretty average for a roadside hotel. . We were driving from Austin to Memphis and chose this one as our stop for the night and we have historically enjoyed Hamptons. We got there pretty late and the gentleman at the desk was warm and friendly. The room was dated with some cracked floor tiles but clean and well laid out and at night the shower pressure was great (not so in the morning). The bedding is comfortable. The supplied breakfast was pretty average but good. Now for the not so great things: Hampton/Hilton seem to think that no one will notice that they are passing Queen size beds off as Kings. When I politely commented on it the next day, the staff looked at me like I had two heads and insulted them, dismissing my concerns. I used to LOVE Hamptons and Hiltons for the comfortable beds but I don’t anymore. They are way too firm and the pillows are useless and not supportive., leaving me stiff and achy the next morning. The shower that was great the night before was horrible the next morning, with poor water pressure and it never got hot. We raised the room temperature due to the cold shower and the ac/heater smelled like burning wires. Overall, it’s what I would expect from a highway hotel, but not what I should expect for a room costing what it was for a King (with Hilton rewards) and sadly not what I had come to experience from Hamptons/Hilton.

The Oaks is the premier bed and breakfast of Hopkins County, originally built in 1937. Each of our three rooms has a private bathroom and has been decorated by a local home decor or antiques dealer here in Sulphur Springs.

Reviewed By Lisa LI had a well-appointed room with a fabulous whirlpool spa bathtub. The room also had a nice shower. The other guests were quiet and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. I had to leave well before their regularly scheduled hot breakfast, and the owners made me an AMAZING to-go box for my journey -- filled with delicious and healthy food. It was very much appreciated. Nice-sized toiletries were included in the bathroom as well. A good value-priced stay at a unique property.
