Reviewed By gr021748I spent 1 night in this hotel and it was worth it every minute. It is very well located on the top of the Serra da Estrela mountains and access is easy, as long as you have a car. The facilities are modern and breakfast is simple and tasty. It's definitely a good option to be in Serra da Estrela.

Simple but cozy
Reviewed By Filipa SAfter a setback upon arrival (no sheets for the extra bed, no shampoo nor shower gel and broken sofa bed), which the owner promptly tried to solve, our stay was lovely. The houses are simple but have everything you need, the breakfast is good (they even offered me soya milk as soon as they heard I couldn't have milk) the location is perfect. Kids loved to walk around freely.

Quinta do Crestelo was bought in 1993 by a couple who was delighted with the surrounding where the agricultural farm was. Composed of 18ha, it is spread over a lush green valley bordered by slopes of oak woods. It was careful recovery, maintaining your original character. It opened in 1995, only with apartments. In the floodplain downstream by high fertility farming was being recovered and resumed breeding. Currently the farm is composed by 29 apartments, outdoor equipment, agricultural area, green area, restaurant and events.

Reviewed By jlonomoreWe spotted this place driving past and thought that as it was a hotel the food might be better than we’ve had locally until now. We were the only people dining for lunch. The restaurant was much more basic than expected from the hotel frontage. I had the pork with potatoes which was tasty but tough and included clams! No mention of clams on the menu. My partner had the chicken salad which he said was tasty. I ordered creme brûlée which I couldn’t eat! It was like runny soup and tasted of something acidic. My partner had the chocolate mousse which he enjoyed. It was cheap at about 27 euros but not good.

We have 8 bedrooms (all with private bathroom, air conditioning and heating): - 4 double bedrooms (bathroom with shower) - 1 double room with extra sofa bed (bathroom with bathtub) - 2 "family" rooms with 1 double bed, 1 single bed and 2 "somersault" sofa bed (bathroom with bathtub) - 1 group room with 4 single beds (bathroom with bathtub) Summarizing, 7 double beds and 7 single beds (+ 4 sofabed) We have also one Chale T1 duplex (independent).

Reviewed By Robert LWe stayed in the studio and it has more than enough space for 2, including all gadget you need to prepare breakfast and cook dinner. It was very clean, the lady at the reception was very service oriented and we slept well. The price is very good for what you get.

Reviewed By quax34There is no AC, no breakfast, no working wireless connection, no fridge in the room. It’s all humid, it smells everywhere from that high humidity. You also might find some cockroaches in your room. It might habe been quite nice 5 our ten years ago, now it’s just a place you don’t wanna be at.

Mountain weather pleasant with raising sheep and own production of the famous cheese of Serra da Estrela. Properly equipped site with 6 suites , 3 spacious suites for couples and 3 large double suites. We make workshops about cheese.

Reviewed By DyPurcÉlio is an amazing, warm, funny and welcoming host who charmed us during our three night stay. Quinta da Cerdeira is a working quinta with cheesemaking facilities onsite. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and located very near the Serra da Estrella national park. Élio´s sister, Gina, is an amazing cook who uses foods that are grown on the quinta or from local producers. Gina´s DELICIOUS meals are offered for an small additional price and are a MUST during your stay. Meals are served family style and the generous portions from starter to dessert and coffee will fill you to the brink with deliciousness! Breakfast was included in the room price, with daily servings of freshly baked bread, cakes, meat, homemade cheeses, jams, juice and coffee. Very generous portions are served at all meals! The rooms are lovely and comfortable with some located downstairs (these have larger bathrooms and showers) and others are situated upstairs with smaller shower units. Élio welcomed us with open arms and treated us like royalty while at the same time making us feel like family. We look forward to returning and I highly recommend Quinta da Cerdira for a multiple night while visiting the area.

Reviewed By jos_fernandof309Não fiquei com o nome da senhora que nos recebeu mas, foi de uma ENORME simpatia. Os quartos muito bem cuidados e uma sala de estar excelente. O pequeno almoço não podia ser melhor adorei o doce de abóbora e a marmelada. Um espaço excelente mesmo ali ao lado da serra para passar o fim de semana com a família.
