Our room was clean and homely with a lovely crib set up for the baby. Rachel was fantastic. She gave us lots of information on the area and the history of the house. She took time to show us around and explain everything. The breakfast she made was delicious, especially the hot cakes! I would highly recommend staying here as it’s also a great location for reaching lots of the lovely sights and activities in the area.

Damp sheets and gloomy room
Reviewed By PurpleEllen1) We booked the Lagar double room for one night. On arrival we reported the sheets felt damp and these were changed. The room was dark and gloomy despite the bright August day. Coming back to the room late at night we found the new sheets were damp - absorbing the damp from the room. There is no ventilation in the ensuite and this may not help. As it was too late to go elsewhere we slept in the car. In the morning, the manager was not sympathetic and just said the house is old and cold. We are used to staying in old houses but that doesn't mean the rooms are damp. Maybe the other accommodation at the hotel is better. 2) Some of the wiring in the bedroom looked dodgy. 3) The two bedside lamps did not work. 4) The pool looked dirty - you could not see the bottom. 5) On checking out we were told payment was cash only and when we asked for a receipt we were told this would be sent by email. This has not yet arrived.

O jantar uma desilusão - 50€ por 3 petiscos para 2 pessoas - um absurdo, os petiscos são bons mas não extraordinários e não justifica minimamente o preço, sem bebida ou sobremesa - tudo a perder num hotel com um conceito relacionado com cozinha.
