Everything we wanted from a ski chalet!
Reviewed By AnnNBrWe recently returned from our fifth stay at the Chateau d'Oz where the hosts, Andy and Gill make the place as they welcome us into their home. Gill is an excellent cook and revels in providing a suitable, French-style menu for all tastes and dietary needs. Both are keen skiers and only too willing to gives tips on the best places to go for various skiing levels, particularly important for us as we didn't want to get "caught" on over taxing slopes. The Chateau is itself an historic building with a fascinating past, quirkily bult into the hillside of a typical French alpine hamlet repurposed as a ski chalet by Andy and Gill some eleven years ago. Guest rooms however all have mountain views and are simply but comfortably furnished. There is now a choice of driving or being driven by Andy to Oz station where there is plentiful free parking or taking the new Eau d'Olle cable car which drops you in the centre of the station. Both these options are better than being in more inaccessible parts of the station. Full fibre has been laid in the village but had not yet been connected to individual properties when we were there however the 4G signal is good.

Reviewed By Alexandra03_12The staff at Moontain, especially Chloe, Xavier and Sebastian are utterly committed to ensuring their guests have a good stay. They go above and beyond to ensure the whole place is running like clockwork, even doing overtime, covering other staff if they are off. The ambience is relaxed and all guests of different age groups and backgrounds mix happily like one big family. Our room was very comfortable and the whole place is fun, clean and works really well for skiers and non skiers alike. The view to the west, across the Oz valley to the Belledonne Range of mountains, is absolutely stunning. Just above the Hostel is a button lift that links you into the Alpe D’Huez domain of ski runs.

First class chalet and catering - Fantastic in every way!
Reviewed By Melanie SCannot rate this chalet in Oz en Ouisans highly enough. We stayed in Chalet Le Lauteret, next door to Chalet L'Etendard and were looked after by David and Laura. As a party of 10 with 2 families, 6 kids and various eating requirements, we were afraid we might be a handful but our hosts looked after us beautifully, making sure everyone had something delicious to eat at every meal. Teatime cakes were amazing as were the homemade cocktails. Lovely chalet facilities - nice size rooms and fantastic views from the balcony. Really close to the Alpette lift - just a 5 minute walk to get the first lift up. This is the best chalet holiday we have had by far.

Reviewed By kelmelWe stayed here after being down on accommodation and had a wonderful time. As a family of five we had two rooms which were rustic with charm and clean. The family who own Chez Passoud are wonderful and the food in the restaurant is very good. It’s around a 30 minute walk uphill to Vaujany but very pleasant.

Reviewed By susmahon123We had a double room, amazing views from a wraparound balcony having views of mountains and village (rm 410). Really nice pool, bar, and restaurant, friendly staff. Excellent location with ski lifts and ESF outside. Will be back.

Chalet Gelinotte is the main chalet and the pride of Chalet Beyond. Very spacious livingroom with open fire place, well equipped open kitchen and a large balcony on south west with amazing views.Next to the livingroom there is a seperate toilet . Each of the 9 bedroom has its own bathroom.

Petit déjeuner comme il faut, sans plus. bonne situation. Pas de wifi et 4G pas terrible. Jacuzzi apprécié. Chambre propre et fonctionnelle sans plus.

Bon séjour
Reviewed By allyonNous étions 3 adultes dans un appartement pour 6 donc à l’aise c’est vrai que pour 6 ça doit faire juste, mais nous nous sommes ravis de ce séjour. La résidence est bien située vue sur la Belledonne et il y a le nécessaire pour une semaine en tout cas pour l’été. La station est très calme, il Manque cruellement d’animation mais les restaurateurs sont sympathiques
