Reviewed By Aeronaut65When Amoma went out of business I contacted the hotel about my booking and received a confirmation that my booking was secured by another company. When arriving there was no booking. They tried to sell me the room at rackrate price which I did not want to pay. Agreeing to EUR60 per night incl. halfboard. After checking out I received a mail that they "forgot" to charge me for my dinners and asked me to pay extra. Checking my bill I found out that they already charged me EUR70 per night (not the EUR60 as agreed) and then they have the ordasity to try to get me to pay more!!! They actually have to refund me EUR24!! The socalled resort is located in the outskirts of Santa Cruz, it might have been very modern once, but is falling into disrepair. Breakfast is simple and the morninglady absolutely unfriendly and not suitable working with people. The young man at dinner did his best and was friendly. Couldnt help feeling like a second class guest. Out of the 3 dinners 2 of them were awful, lukewarm and with flaccid potatoes. No vegetables or salad. Not worth the money, and 4 star it is NOT!

Reviewed By JanetBrusselsHere's my list of good things about this place: * Isabel gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful * Lovely large airy comfortable room * Ditto the bathroom * Very close to the sea and local restaurant * Not in the main town of Santa Cruz, but the island is so small this is not a problem * Breakfast wasn't provided - except that it was! There's a large living room where the breakfast basics are left for you to help yourself, and you can make tea/coffee all day. * If you dive then you will want to take advantage of the dive school attached to the property/business. We went on a boat trip around the island with them which was fabulous. The only thing letting it down is that there's nowhere outdoors to sit and relax ... but you're a couple of minutes from the beach, so for us this wasn't a problem.

A paradise to stay
Reviewed By Ines WTo spend time at the quinta dos frutos was defenetively the best part of my vaccations on the Acores. The owners are soooo incredibly nice and the place is just wonderful. The garden is amazing and we even collected the oranges, which were delicious :) The houses are clean and charming and the outside sitting area is beautiful. I would have loved to spend more time at this quiet paradise. I will defenetively go back there. The owners offered me a bike and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There is a nice, clean kitchen which contains all whats needed. We were even able to wash our laundery. The surrounding area, including the beach, is really nice. In conclusion, I fell in love with this place and it won't be the last time I've been there. Thanks for this great experience!

Reviewed By SMMPIt was a nice stay at this lovely town house. You can see that it is an old house but that's part of the charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Quiet place despite being next to a road. Recommended

Reviewed By Edy75Siamo state in questo appartamento per due notti. È situato a 10 minuti di macchina dall’aeroporto. Si compone di due camere matrimoniali, salotto, cucina e bagno. Le camere sono grandi, ben arredate con letti comodi. La cucina accessoriata di tutto punto. Il bagno grande con una splendida doccia. Sul retro della casa un prato molto grande. Il prezzo basso in rapporto a quanto offerto.
