Romantic get a way
Reviewed By jlaucknerGreat and beautiful resort. Excellent service and delicious food. Two couples traveled and had fun on the ATV tour too. Grounds and the pool are so perfect. We each enjoyed spa treatments as well and they were fantastic. The other couple have been there several times before and my girlfriend and me would now highly recommend it.

Reviewed By deeremom430We stayed here 4 nights while we explored the area. Check in was easy, employees were friendly and helpful. We requested NO housekeeping during our stay, the amount of towels in the room was adequate for our stay. Breakfast was better than expected. Exterior and interior of hotel was neat and clean. Definitely will stay here again if we are back in the area

Very steep driveway; do not enter with a sports car! Minimal lighting in parking lot. Breakfast is a goody bag with yogurt, juice, a roll & free coffee, not the promised continental breakfast bar. Back “security” door was propped open. All in all, a good night’s sleep but just that.

Bathroom: screen ripped a lot in window; no drinking cups, only 2 feet of toilet paper on roller (no extra roll in room); tub water handle horrible -ready to fall off. A/C unit SMELLED when turned on - moldy smell. Door lock poor. This motel falls into the category of a foreigner's ownership who does the MINIMAL effort at MINIMAL expense.

Reviewed By raschidgWell how long have you got. On arriving at the Palacios hotel I was shocked to find only two cars in the front. This should’ve given me some insight into the unhelpful receptionist. When I checked in I was horrified to find that two single guys was asked to share a single bed and when stating I had booked for two adults I was told “ I decide what bed and room you have, you can share a bed together or if you want to pay more you can have two single beds”. This was after I had to ring the bell and Waiting a while? Room was mediocre and small and to be honest not worth $60. The Motto of his story is when you need a room just to put your head down for the night spend that extra $20.

Old school motel
Reviewed By 007pandasThere is a lot to cover since the age of the hotel or motel is beyond 50-years. The motel's pool is literally in shambles so as I entered my room with the key, the door was not shaped to the door frame properly, and the deadbolt did secure the room that had its own stale smelled, however turning on the air conditioner only putrified the room's odor, I was fortunate to have my own Lysol and bathroom cleaner to assure me the room was clean and fresh. The toiletries items were plentiful and appropriately placed along with unstained white face, hand and bath towels. The appropriately placed desk and television with the Kings size bed were ascetically pleasing, but it was offset by the mustiness of the carpet and noisy smelly room air conditioner. This motel is a throwback to the 50s with carpet design, bathroom fixtures, and blueish green steel bathtub along with the crank style window slats. I know the owners would love to remodel, but until they do, I would not recommend unless you arrive with Lysol and bathroom cleaner, and a sense of nostalgia.
