The house is very comfortable, great place, calm surroundings - ATM, coffee and restaurants walking distance. Close to surf spots, with amenities to leave your board, clean your wetsuit, etc. Good coworking space, big and fully equipped kitchen. Possibility to use a washing machine and dry your clothes on a sunny patio (also great for having a lunch outside). Wide common area inside the house with space for yoga or to chill ;-)

Reviewed By Linda_pulsWe booked a family room, double bed with a bunk bed for 2 nights and paid 170€ a night for a couple with a 5-year-old child. Unfortunately the hotel does not live up to the price. The hotel has a retro pop style which is a matter of taste but unfortunately does not bring a cozy atmosphere. It is in a residential area and our ground floor room overlooks a residential building. Rooms are bright and were cleaned relatively well upon arrival. Unfortunately there was no cleaning during our stay. No water and no coffee in the room. Small fridge that is not cold. Unfortunately, the sauna and steam bath were not switched on, so the sauna was not usable for me. Breakfast is a sad offering with bad coffee and partly unripe fruit. The outdoor offers in the large garden of the hotel are great, a heated outdoor pool, a climbing mountain and a skate park offer a lot of fun

What a treat to smell that around the house in the morning! Nadia very kindly prepares a breakfast selection that I like to eat out the front of the house with my coffee in the morning. The house looks over the spot "Prainha", "Lagide" and "Gigi". You can get to all 3 on foot without crossing any roads and is walking distance from another spot that faces another direction entirely — "Cantinho da Baia". Plenty to choose from.

Reviewed By GavinS1384Super happy we found Baleal. A lovely part of Portugal. Not overly touristy, friendly locals and great surfing. Gabana Inn was perfect accommodation and from what we saw it was one of the most modern and best value so close to the beach. We ate in their restaurant each night and again loved it. Always busy and mostly locals dining, drinking and enjoying ice cream which is always a good sign. Great hospitality from the staff too. I hope we return.

Reviewed By Milo1967We, family of 3, stayed here two nights. We got off to a rocky start since we could not find the place. The address states number 54 so Google send us to what should be 54. This was on the other end of the penisula. After about 20minutes of phonecalls and walking around we found the place. Be advised: it is right at the beginning of the peninsula so don't let google maps tell you otherwise. We were greeted by Daniel, the host. We were assigned two rooms away from each other but he offerd us the bigger appartment + room so we could be closer together. The rooms are complete with everything you need but it does need a bit of a redo. Everything was a bit outdated. The beds were comfartable and the shower warm, and in summer that is what you basicly need. Breakfast is served on the rooftop restaurant area. It is made to your personal liking. Eventhough it is right on the road it is actually quiet. Nice hang out but do think the price tag was a bit on the high side.

As always, the hosts have been amazing, accommodating all our needs and making sure both adults and kids could improve their surf and enjoy. Would recommend to any family wishing to have a totally stress free experience, and in depth introduction to surfing (all levels).

The H2O GuestHouse is a cozy home feel surf house located in the center of Baleal, Peniche one of the best surf destinations in the whole Europe. The GuestHouse offers 3 kinds of accommodation: A suite with double bed, wardrobe, private bathroom and private terrace for your peaceful moments. A twin room with two single beds, wardrobe and view to the garden. A quadruple room with two bunk beds, wardrobe and terrace where you can relax under the sun. The GuestHouse has a wide ocean-inspired lounge where you relax and catch up with our TV with international channels, chill on the sofa or on the super comfortable XL puff and hammock, enjoy meals on the long dinning table. There is also a full equipped kitchen to store the food and for self catering. Moreover the GuestHouse is featured by the surfboards room to rest your boards, the wetsuits room with shower to wash and dry your wetsuit, bathroom, toilet, barbecue and an outside area with garden to unwind. The GuestHouse is 300 meters away from the beach and has free internet WIFI connection. Sheets and 2 bathroom towels are provided on arrival. From the hostel you can reach 5 different surf spots and all the bars, discopubs, discotheques, surf shops, restaurants, mini market and ATM of Baleal in 5-15 minutes on foot. The H2O GuestHouse is located in the beautiful area of Baleal, Peniche. Both are two peninsulas, within 4 km distance one from each other. Baleal is surrounded by blue ocean, waves and its joyful scenery: Golden beaches, reefs, red cliffs and characteristic flora. Baleal is a real "surf town" with relaxing, peaceful and cheap life style. Good vibes are on the air. Furthermore It is renowened for its beach bars that lively up the night, especially in the summertime.

Reviewed By 39trevorlI agree with all the other reviews, the owner is a super nice guy & even worked out a good price for my extended stay. But truth be told, the place is filthy, the kitchen counter tops have never been wiped, oven is dirty, one frying pan,no toaster & just plain dirty. I had the private room which has years of dirt build up. I had to give it a good clean to feel comfortable in the room.
