GOOD FOR REST
Reviewed By Avi PThis seems to be a family run basic hotel. It offers 6 or 7 log cabins and (I did not check) a structure with rooms. The reception area serves as a restaurant. Rooms are clean and quite large, private baths, refrigerator, free parking, heating are provided (Aircon is not available but maybe not needed - fan is provided). In our room there was no kitchenette. There is not daily service to the room (at least for 2 days stay). I could not see a pool. The staff are extremely nice and friendly, but only the owner speaks English. Thank God for Google Translate. The area is great - Karpati mountains, fresh air are all excellent. There is a space to prepare Barbecue. I don't know if that is operational, our weather was not permitting. We came to tour the are and the mountains, and in that respect Polyana is a detour from our main route. If one wants to get around, this seems to be a little far away from places, nothing is walking distance. The breakfast is nice and dinner was good. Nice place to come with kids n the summer or if one wants to get away from the hassle of the city.

Reviewed By DMan93Stayed here in January for 3 nights which was my second time here after staying in November 2021 and was in the same room 43. Hotel is very well located in the town centre and the room was clean and tidy although there wasn't good views as it was an attic room but no bother to me. Breakfast is very good pancakes were some of the best I ever had not at all sweet. Big improvement from the last hotel I stayed at in this town will definitely come back once the war is over.

Very good value for money
Reviewed By margietkaWe stayed in Hotel Argo for two nights and were very happy with everything. The well-working air-conditioning made our stay during hot days more bearable. Our room was spacious and clean, the wi-fi was working seamlessly. We had breakfast every morning and were very satisfied with what we ordered (omelette with tomatoes). The staff was friendly. The hotel is not too far from the city center, although for some people this walk might be a bit too intense. (We did not mind walking, though.) The residential area, where the hotel is situated, is quite quiet. Overall it was a very good place to stay in Uzhhorod!

Exclusive hotel, but ....
Reviewed By PMdWMIn July I traveled with a friend of mine through Ukraine, and this was by far the most expensive and exclusive hotel where we have been. We are 2 students from the Netherlands and we had the cheapest room in the hotel (the only one that was available) and it costed something around the 44 euros a night including breakfast. My experience with hotel was good, but not that special. I will explain it right now: When we arrived (the cabdriver brought us here) the woman from the reception welcomed us very friendly. She showed us our room and she was very sorry for the fact that all the 'nice' rooms were booked (No problem for us). Our room was nice and the rest of the hotel is very beautiful. There is a bar, a big swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and sauna (it costs around 20 euro) and the possibility to rent a quad and bikes. The woman from the reception was very friendly and helped us a lot. Great service. But, there were as well some things that weren't that nice. For example: at 11 o'clock the bar closed and we were sitting there with a big beer and we had to drink it up immediately because the bar was closing. Other point we didn't like was the fact that the breakfast was poor. Just before us a group of 40 persons from Belarus had breakfast and there wasn't anything left for us. No problem, but they weren't refilling it so we had a very poor breakfast. For the rest, the prices are very high for Ukrainian standards (especially the renting, the pool table and the Jacuzzi and sauna). In general it’s a very nice place, but they have to learn some things about hospitality.

Reviewed By Mariann SThe hotel was unexpectedly excellent. The price is incredible, cheap. Everything clean, almost new. The bathroom is really beautiful. The only negative thing is that neither they have anything written in any other language than Ukrainien, but the staff do not speak a word neither in English, German or Hungarian. This must be improved and then it is a perfect place to stay!

Good place to stay!
Reviewed By Cesare GStayed here for several days in September 2017. Quiet place. Run by two ladies [in between them they just about speak 10 words of English!], Lubov is especially nice. Breakfast [at the giveaway price of 40 UAH!!] is freshly made [they do pretty good omelets]. No juices, no yoghurts on offer, mind you. Coffee is just so-so [weak expresso for example]. You can also sit outside [covered terrace]. I stayed in room number 2, which features a balcony. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the centre of the town [print a map of Uzhhorod from internet when still at home as there is not a single map to be found in town!]. City centre is quite nice, especially near the river embankements [see if you can spot the mini sculpture, one out of 26, of John Lennon!]. You can hire a pro local guide [Slava] with car from the hotel, he certainly knows his stuff, but again he speaks no English. Drives fast btw but still manages to avoid the large holes in the roads )) Concluding, if I am ever back in Uzhhorod, I would stay at Mala Praha again for sure! For the price you pay at this mini- hotel, you won't find anything better in town...

Welcoming and friendly hotel in city centre
Reviewed By Igoryok1Letuchiy Gollandets (Flying Dutchman) hotel is relatively small (7 rooms only). It is located almost in the heart of Uzhgorod, and its general atmosphere is cozy and friendly. There were only three people of hotel staff whom I saw during the whole period. I highly appreciated their hospitality, friendliness and readiness to help and to give an advice. Rooms are well-furnished and equipped with air conditioners and refrigerators: in my case, it was especially important, since outdoor temperature during my stay was +28o - +34o C. Breakfast is served in a spacious room decorated with a model of a medieval ship flying on a zeppelin (symbolizing Flying Dutchman). Guests are requested to say what breakfast time will be most convenient for them, and breakfast menu is different every day. Unfortunately, the pandemic affected tourism sphere in general and this hotel in particular: there were not so many gusts when I stayed there. So, I would recommend everybody who wishes to visit Uzhgorod to stay namely there: be sure, you will enjoy it!

Reviewed By Agnes VThis hotel has two buildings. I was accomodated in the one overlooking the lake. The view from my window was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable. The half-board was ok. Quite enough choice for breakfast and a nice warm dinner. And if you are tea-addict, you can make teas all day long.

There are double suites, rooms with private facilities and air-hostel economy class: the block of several 2 -, 3 - and 4-bed rooms on shares, with facilities in the block. Location. Located on Station Street exit directly to the platform station. The rooms of economy class facing the railroad tracks.
good to have a rest in a trip

I stayed at the hotel for several hours, but paid for a full day. I would like to be a payment by the hour, or at least for half a day, if it's possible, for traveler like me
