It was really cheap entrance fee, even we didn't visit the museum. But there was nice view on the city.

Visit to the beautiful town of Uzhgodor, the capital of Ruthenia, has to be accompanied with all the factors that a visitor can find. Otherwise, the visit simply couldn't be completed. To make a visit to Uzhgorod completed, you have to see so many things and details, you have to walk along the river Uzh and its Linden Alley, the longest in Europe, you have to visit famous Uzhgorod castle with so many centuries that will tell you amazing stories, you have to visit the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life and after that, just several hundred meters bellow, you simply have to visit and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of Hospoda restaurant. This isn't just a restaurant, but it's more like a logical continuation of tasting of Uzhgorod and the entire Ruthenia. Their welcoming, their overall approach, their menu, being it the best bograch money can buy or anything else, will make a perfect conclusion to the experience of this great piece of this part of the world. Recommendations without any doubt.

We have already eaten several times at Uzhgorodskiyu Zamok, which is the sister restaurant to this one. Of the two this is even better. We ate a varied selection of dishes from the extensive menu, and enjoyed them all.
As someone already wrote the restaurant is built in the style of an old communal house or pub. This makes it very cozy.
Try the cheese stuffed levash follow by whatever you desire, it will be good.

Four of us enjoyed a Saturday night meal here. Our waiter spoke a little English and was very helpful and attentive. All of us had grilled meats, and shared a platter of grilled vegetables and potatoes. The food was very tasty, nicely presented, and very reasonably priced. I'm hoping to go back again before we leave Mukachevo! We sat in the outdoor patio Seating even though it was a cool evening, because a couple of banquet groups filled up the indoor tables.

I first visited Detsa u Notarya in April of 2004 while working with Non-Governmental Organizations in Ukraine. Anytime I was in Uzhhorod I made it a point to visit this fine and historic establishment and its proprietor Pavlo Chuchka. Over the following times that I visited Uzhhord I always made an effort to visit this restaurant.
Once while in Uzhhorod I took a supervisor I was working for from an international organization. She told me she enjoyed it very much.
I was later there again in 2006 a number of times. I always enjoyed trying their Banosh, Steak Tartar and anything Pavlo would suggest for myself and whoever I was showing this fine eaterie.
I was also invited to a parody/poetry festival run at the establishment called Zakarpartsky Slovoblud. And my close but deceased friend Ilko Kucheriv and I both have chairs in the establishment with our names on them. Highly recommended!
I can't wait to get back to Ukraine to visit again!

Old Continent is known as a very good restaurant in Uzhhorod. However, It is not a high-level place, as they like to market themselves.
It wasn't the first time I was there, and the food was, well, average. Everytime. From a restaurant being expensive for this city, I expected to have at least a decent broth, not talking about some traditional ukrainian dishes, like Kyevskie Kotlety, which is pretty easy to cook.
The staff is welcoming, the managers are really helpful, but the waiters are unprofessional. Refilling a glass of wine? Pouring without a piece of fabric, so there are spills almost everywhere? Probably the only thing, that is positive about them, is that they didn't mix up our food. Some years ago it was pretty common.
All in all, if You want to have an average dinner, with pretty poor service, and the highest prices in Uzhhorod - this is your place of choice. Otherwise there are at least two, maybe even three great places to dine at.

Really great place. My favorite stop in Uzhgorod. This time we had soup with chechevitsa (light and tasty) some of their special cakes, pizzone, tea and cheese-cakes. All was very good. Definitely recommend.Hallo, Andrew! Thank You so much for your nice words! ?

Deep disappointment with this restaurant which I’d come recommended in order to experience local cuisine. After arriving a bit before 8:00 pm, I was waiting for 10 minutes seeing how three differents waiters passed around me even I was there and they saw me while I was standing. Normally, in these cases, the waiter asks if the person wants a table and at least everything is already right. The person doesn’t mind to wait some more minutes if the waiter is very busy, but not to be like a statue with the other customer seeing. Of course, there was time to play with the tray of the drinks that finally fall...

We walked in for a late lunch and were seated at the nice Terrace overlooking the river. We shared several salalds, cold appetizers and steak tartar. Everything was fresh and best quality, steak tartar absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Joseph, recommended a local wine to accompany our food, which was splendid. Would highly recommend!!!

We visited this awesome place few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised with high quality standards, well organized territory and nice food. The staff was very friendly. It really impressed me. If you're looking for colorful transcarpathian cuisine, this is a place for you! We recommend to try bograch. It's a traditional Hungarian spicy soup.
