We tried a few places over several days in and around Yaremche and this place was, by a long way, the best place in terms of food quality and atmosphere. The fish in particular (trout, carp, mackerel - grilled or fried) was pretty good value by Ukrainian standards. I had an outstanding creation consisting of a chicken fillet covered in a deruny mixture, lightly fried and topped with a chanterelle sauce. Good selection of wines and other drinks. I recommend booking as it gets busy in the evening at least in season. Oh - and a I really appreciated them safe-keeping my wallet when I accidentally left it in the restaurant. They called to let me know that they had it.

The restaurant is located nearby the waterfall and the only one. So no big concurrency. It's propably the oldest restaurant in the region. Try the traditional Carpathian or Ukrainian food. You will not be disappointed. Service in traditional clothes is good. Price for some people perhaps a little bit too high. Beautiful interior. It's a must

This restaurant is recognized by the locals as the best restaurant in the area. It was also recommended to me by a friend from Kolomyya, and we drove 70km from Yarmeche specifically to visit it.
There’s a free street parking in front of the restaurant.
Sadly, we were unlucky to hit the season opening night, so the restaurant hasn’t lived up to our expectations. It was too crowded. All scenic places on the Terrace were occupied, and we were left a table in the bar hall, less scenic but luckily less noisy as well. The waiters were too busy entertaining the opening night guests and nearly ignored the rest.
What couldn’t have been taken away in any case was the restaurant’s famous scenery. Arkan occupies two-storey building with a three-tier summer Terrace reigning over the mountainous river of Pistyn’.
Arkan specializes in Ukrainian cuisine, particularly Hutsul dishes, specific for this area only. Some were outstanding even for Carpathians, which is famous for its excellent fresh cuisine. The others turned out surprisingly disappointing, but I tend to relate it to the chef’s engrossment with the banquet. So I remained split about food quality here.
They lacked rabbit that day, so we opted for veal shahslyk and grilled trout with Hutsul potato and frilled vegetables as a side dish, also some black pudding and pancakes.
The veal and trout were tender and juicy, perfectly done. However, the size of shashlyk was much smaller than we expected and even less than similar (and of the same weight!) we offered later elsewhere. The portions in principle were not too generous. Black pudding was excellent. Grilled vegetables had too much garlic and were basically burnt. The waiter has also forgotten about our pancakes, and when finally served, they were cold and not tasty at all. Fabulous Carpathian herb tea with delicious honey has slightly made up for it.
As I said, we weren’t impressed by the service – the waiters were too busy serving the opening show attendants and too slow for all other guests. The lines to the bathrooms were tremendous, but the waiters never cared to let the guests know there were other on the upper floors.
Although not that bad in general, in our particular case Arkan was not worthy all the efforts we made to get there. But if you are in the area, this restaurant is fine to drop in to try delicious local cuisine. But do book in advance and make sure there’s no banquet.

After vising Pizzeria Felichita I can see why this place is ranked Number 1 among restaurants in Bukovel. Unexpectedly good Italian food in the middle of the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. We had freshly made mozzarella with tomatoes (delicious!) and oven-baked four-cheese pizza with extra tomatoes, basilic, and onions (yummy!). Also try Jasmine Boom cocktail. My only advice is please serve ciabatta warm. It tastes much better hot than cold
Very good service. All waitresses, waiters, administrators are nice, polite, and attentive. But special thanks goes to Ulyana! She is the best. The Felichita management should give her a bonus!

Cozy two-story restaurant, made in the Austrian style. Ukrainian cuisine with flair. Winter working fireplace.

Typical ukrainian place, but of average level. Could be visit in low season when the choice of other places is poor. Or if you need budget dinner of not bad quality.
