My wife's medium well burger came out medium rare. But, the server took it back and they promptly made another burger which came out as desired. I tried it and thought the patty had nice caramelization, flavor and a good bun. My daughter and I shared the meat lovers pizza, which was forgettable with a barely there crust. Very good wait staff. Very good food as far as what we ordered: Chicken/Dumpling Soup, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Strips, mashed potatos, salad. Decently priced. Clean. Good senior selection, great sounding breakfast selections. Abundant parking. nice selection of pies.

We visited here as a family outing after Wilderness Walk and a couple of us who had ordered a meat sandwich were disappointed with our meal and both of us had upset stomachs afterwards. The pies seem to be the pride and joy of this location but the meals are average at best. The overall discussion was the pie was good but the meal was so-so. Our waitress was good but the food came out of the kitchen slowly.We apologize for the poor sandwiches and slow service we provided you at Hayward Norske Nook. We stopped for lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full of patrons. We waited almost an hour for two small & simple pizzas. The waitstaff never stopped by our table or asked if things were satisfactory. The pizzas were not very good tasting.

Food was awesome, I had the prime rib sandwich and my wife had a philly beef sandwich both of us were very satisfied with our meals. Indoor and outdoor seating and good service.Business also has a bowling alley connected to the restaurant which was very interesting.

A fun place to stop for a bite to eat on the patio in downtown Hayward. We had the gyro and a taco salad. Both were excellent. Service was very good and the price was reasonable. It also has an excellent selection of beverages. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Hayward.

all our food was very good. I had a mussels special that was very good, friend had the grilled steak salad and thought it was excellent. sitting inside could be a little noisy if it's full. there is some nice outdoor seating and a bar area. service staff is very nice and friendly.

This place was recommended to us for the breakfasts and we were not disappointed. They have not only the typical eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc. (HUGE pancakes)....but also more so specialty items that are very good. My husband had the eggs Benedict and I had the Bacon ricotta and spinach crepes. Service could have been a little more attentive, but it got better. Highly recommend for the food.
