My customer chose this restaurant for our meeting, and I would say he did well. The menu had great looking fish, sushi, and many other tempting dishes. I will be going back.

I stopped by here based on the reviews I saw on Trip Advisor. They weren't lying....the rolls were excellent! The Hell Roll was fantastic. The lunch combo was two rolls, miso soup and salad for $7.95...pretty good deal in my book. They told me you could add a 3rd roll for $3 more. The fish was fresh and great tasting. I will definitely be back.

I ordered some sort of Tempura shrimp roll and a few pieces of sushi; my husband ordered a teriyaki chicken and a few pieces of sushi. Sushi was fresh, his teriyaki chicken was pretty good and he actually liked the Miso soup--which he usually doesn't in most places, I might add. The restaurant was well decorated and the staff were all nice. I got the feeling we might have gone on a busier than usual night; the waitress was the only server on the floor but we still didn't have to wait long for anything. My only issue was that the prices for the sushi were a bit on the higher end for the quality.

We have stopped by here a few times and last night I have to say was one of the better times we have had there. Staff was very friendly and courteous, very good service, kept the drinks full and plates removed. This trip the food seemed to better tasting than our times in the past. Not sure if we just happened to catch them at just the right time for food coming out or if they have started to do something different. A few trips in the past just had that taste that it was sitting out there for a while. This time, good trip!

Daruma Restaurant

Amazing traditional Japanese restaurant. Back in Japan in Schaumburg. I found this place before coming to Schaumburg and mentioned to Hubby that this is a must-dine place while we're here. We made it happen. It's very traditional and most clientele are Japanese, so we know we hit the jackpot. The restaurant is quite big, there's a sushi bar, first dining area, private dining in small individual rooms where you need to remove your shoes, and another dining passed that small rooms. There's a waterfall too, so you won't miss the sound of the waterfall. I think our waitress for the night was Migu, very sweet and very happy! We ordered fried squid and edamame and soup to start. Oh wow, the spicy mayo for the squid was to die for. I hardly eat spicy mayo but this one was so tempting that I couldn't say no. We both loved it! Then I had sashimi and Hubby had a bento box. Another wow right there! The pieces of my sashimi were pretty big. Hubby's bento box was another dish I would recommend for those who don't want raw. The box came with chicken teriyaki, sushi, tempura, salad and side vegetable and a bowl of rice. Yes, complete! Highly recommended traditional Japanese restaurant. Loved it! Arigato!
