Our Bunco group has several times enjoyed lunch at Ovations in Lakeland. Today we had another great meal. We had 9 women in their large round booth, and had a great server, Kristina. She was very friendly and on the spot with everything we needed. The food was very good and the lunch specials are very affordable. One of the managers let us share some delicious desserts on the house. Weâll definitely be back again! Try the Pineapple Up-side Down Cake itâs wonderful.Thanks so much for the compliments and for the recommendations. How about that pineapple upside down cake? Itâs one of our favorites too! I typically donât write reviews on chain restaurants unless the food and/or service was excellent and this Longhorn last night was!!! Our server, Desiree, was really friendly and upbeat and just spot on! Our dinners were way above average for a chain steakhouse. My wife had the Flat Iron and requested the chimichurri on her steak...no problem. I had the 10 oz. Filet.We both ordered medium rare and they got to our table perfectly done and hot! Both steaks were ohhh sooo tender and flavorful. No need to add salt or pepper. My Filet was one of thee best Iâve had ever! The Caesar salads and asparagus were excellent, as well. Iâm giving this Longhorn 2 thumbs up for food AND service we received last night.

My wife and I were first time diners, came with returning friends. Very busy but seated fairly quickly, Extensive menu, I chose the Smothered Chicken, my wife had a Sirloin cut. Started with average house salads; fresh produce, but standard offering. My chicken was very tasty and grilled perfectly moist, better than most. Smothering of grilled onions, bell peppers and melted cheese was cooked correctly, but tasted just 'OK'. My wife found her steak without pepper grill seasoning, just as she requested; she does not always 'win' with this request, kudos to grillcook for complying. All in all the meal was good, our server was excellent and worth tabling with again. Our one issue which earned just 3 stars, is that the place was just too loud to even speak with our friends. Felt like the whole experience was yelling at us. However, it sure seemed like a lot of folks were having fun and laughing, many families with kids together. I recommend this place as 'very good' for those younger, and with kids. I am sure we will return with our friends, food and staff enough to revisit.

Looking for an early lunch and stopped by Longhorn. The staff are always quick to greet you and quick to seat you. Ordered the seasoned steakhouse wings which needed to extra sauce for me. Wonderful flavor and not over cooked. I would get this again. We also had the red rock grilled shrimp. The tomato butter sauce is different and good enough to keep you eating. The shrimped are grilled perfectly. This is another dish I would try. So if you are driving around, stop by Longhorn, the prices are reasonable and it has a great atmosphere.

I have been going to the Texas Cattle Company in Lakeland for aver 25 years now. The aged and wood grilled steaks are to die for and I absolutely love the salad! If you like mushrooms the fried mushrooms there are really a must try and you get tons of them! Years ago service use to be top notch but my last several experiences with service have not been too great actually they have been downright bad. But the awesome food will always keep me coming back! I do not recommend the hamburger or the fries there but that is just a personal preference I know other people that like them.Texas Cowgirl (T-Bone) is my favorite steak here for sure it is absolutely mouth watering and better than all the other steaks they have even though I am not usually a T-bone kind of gal.
