Last night we took our 16 yr old here for his birthday dinner...his choice not mine...Everything was pleasant, we had fairly good service (not the the best) and our food started arriving. Don't order the catfish, not worth the price, but everyone was pretty much ok with their meals. Well except for the birthday boy. While we all were served our dinners, had them almost finished, his had not even arrived! He ordered a club sandwich for goodness sake. Seriously all five of us were halfway through our meals of steaks, chicken and fish (which took no time anyway considering it was one small piece of fish), his meal finally arrived. I asked the question "why did it take so long".....answer.....wait for it......"because they had to make it"!Yes i should have gone to the manager but at that point we were in a hurry to get to a Birthday Party!Hi, Carol. I stopped in this establishment while visiting the Island View Casino. It is located on the non smoking beach side. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Being alone I decided to eat at the bar. Dave the bartender did an outstanding job. Service and conversation were top notch. I ordered the smallest cut of Prime Rib and it was more then big enough given the huge salad and mashed potatoes that came with the entree. Prices were more then reasonable and I would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting Gulfport.

Although there was a long waiting line, it moved quickly and we were seated after about 15-20 minutes. Ordered the fillet and shrimp plate and was disappointed. The shrimp were overdone and while the steak was cooked to order (med-rare), it was way to salty to eat! The broccoli and baked sweet potato were very good. The waitress was really busy but she did a great job taking care of us. Dinner really would have been a lot better if the seasoning used had far less salt in it!!!

Two couples ate recently and had an excellent dinner. The restaurant is well lighted, has great western design, wait staff is fast, helpful and efficient. We had steaks that were all perfectly cooked in relatively short order. We had the New York Strip, Ribeye and 2 filet's. Portions are large.

If you think being on the Gulf would mean fresh crabmeat, you would be wrong . Restaurant has a crab salad on menu. It should read : Imitation Crabmeat Salad. Long wait for poor food.

The atmosphere and service was exceptional for our group dinner. I ordered grilled shrimp and that's where the exceptional part went downhill. The shrimp were very overcooked. I thought it was just my order but another friend order the same thing and wasn't happy with her food either. I would think a place like this, would know how to grill shrimp. Everything else was really good and others at the table raved about their orders. I will try this restaurant again but definitely will not order the shrimp.

Neither the food nor the service will disappoint - but it is definitely an expensive place to eat. Having said that, we loved everything - from the wine to the appetizers to the soups - to the rib eye steaks. Prepared to perfection and presented with flair. And it was a joy not to be rushed out of there. Our waiter was attentive but never "hovered". Truly a fine dining experience!!
