We stay in Banyalbufar regularly and often look for somewhere to go after dinner. We only started visiting Batle Negre a couple of years ago but enjoy sitting outside the bar and relaxing over a coffee or liquor. The locals use it which is always a good sign!

... not good from hygienic point of view. Dirty wine glasses make a general question how is it inside of the kitchen. Dirty...means rest of red-tinto coloured our ordered white house one. Starter dishes were good though. Waiter of Italian roots perhaps had some personal problems and wasn't friendly.

We had walked the coastal path from Banyalbufar and met some friends at this restaurant. Since we were early, we ordered delicious squid Romanesque and deep fried squid rings as well as a beer and a lovely glass of white wine. We all chose sardines a la plancha and asked for half fries and half salad which the waitress obligingly brought. The sardines were superb - quite small, so not so oily tasting as the bigger ones tend to do. We all chose a pudding, too and were not disappointed. The view from the terrace over the bay is superb.

It is not often that I have given the full 5 stars, but this restaurant deserves it. We sat in the courtyard with white tables, white chairs and white tablecloths. The proprietor took our orders - a very gentle man, who spoke reasonable English. As starters we had the divine Calmari rings - as you've never tasted them before. The batter was light and the rings were fresh and soft. There was a pesto dip to accompany them. We also had the best anchovy salad I've ever had - I have never had anchovies that were not almost pungent. Also had some small fried prawns - very tasty. For mains we had two paellas - about as good as paellas get. We ordered them the day before. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned and there were generous portions of lobster and chicken. Simple and top quality ingredients. The bill was very reasonable

OK, it has a stunning view from the terrace. And, the house white was astonishingly good. BUT the food was over priced, average at best and unappetising at worst. Why serve a Mallorcan meal with chips (which did not appear in the menu), and chips that tasted as if they had been refried from yesterday. As for the salmon, not nice, not tender, not right. This is the first time in many years of exploring restaurants in Mallorca that we have such are poor meal, and thats before the silly prices. Avoid.

This little restaurant in Banyalbufar is absolutely brilliant. We visited on a chilly March evening, and got a very warm welcome from the owner. Lots of locals around too. The food was delicious. Croquettas & mussels being especially good, but actually everything we ate was really more-ish. Can`t wait to go again - and it was really good value!

Friday to Wednesday from 18:00 PM to 22:00 PM. charming restaurant, in a dream village located between sea and mountains. We closed the kitchen at 9:30 PM
We found this restaurant last year and were drawn in by the chalkboards outside listing the marvellous dishes on offer. We had a really nice meal here one evening in October and revisited it as first choice when we returned to Banyalbufar last week. The chalkboards were gone form outside but nevertheless we sat down and looked at the menu, which was disappointing to say the least. There was only one other couple dining that evening and we wondered why. The waitress disappeared and we had to call out as we wanted to order. A woman came out of the kitchen, the chef I believe, and then sat at the bar playing with her phone. The waitress re-appeared.Anyway, I chose from the menu (a limited choice was on offer), a (quite high priced) sirloin steak, only to be told they didn't have any. That was enough, so we left. I don't know what has happened here since October, but we won't be going back.Sentimos no haber cumplido vuestra espectativas pero este año hemos cambiado nuestra carta. Aún asà gracias por su visita

We had early reservations for Spain, 7 PM, just as the restaurant opened. There is bar and snack service outside downstairs and the formal restaurant is located upstairs. We had a lovely table upstairs for two with an unobstructed view of the Mountains and Sea. The service was prompt and helpful as we were debating about trying a local Banyulbufar wine, which we did and it was just right with the meal. We both had salads and tried the Mixed Paella which was delicious. It is hearty, robust and very rich in flavor. We have sampled other paella's during this trip and this was slightly more hearty but very good. People sitting outside downstairs were smoking however it did not carry to our upstairs dinning location and there was absolutely no breeze. A good overall experience and both the food and wine are fairly priced.

Very charming restaurant in a corner of the village. Calm, nice, food is absolutely great, with choice beyond the typical Spanish tourist restaurants. The staff and chef are very welcoming and is willing to adapt some dishes if you have some food preferences. We had dinner all nights there! Deserts are great too!

We ate here several times while staying in Banyalbufar and enjoyed all our meals. It is a typical Spanish Restaurant with a varied menu and good wine list. The service is excellent, the staff are very friendly, the food is delicious and the prices very reasonable. The owner, Maria, made us feel very welcome and treated us as if we were family, nothing was too much trouble.
