Where to eat South American food in Miami: The Best Restaurants and Bars

September 20, 2019 Dorsey Hagwood

Find out what South American restaurants to try in Miami. Miami is hot hot hot! And it’s not just the sultry weather. Here, the nightlife is scorching, thanks to a strong Latin influence and spicy salsa culture. Dance the noche away in a nightclub, or indulge in a fancy meal at one of the city’s celebrity-owned restaurants. By day, hit the beach of course, or have yourself a walkabout, taking in Miami’s colorful art deco architecture. Grab a Cuban sandwich in Little Havana, then ride the vintage carousel at Virginia Key Beach Park.

Peruvians know how to eat well, and being Peruvian myself, I am very demanding when eating out.To me, good true Peruvian food is hard to find in Miami but El Pollo Inka is the best. They have the most delicious food cooked the traditional way and with true Peruvian ingredients. Food is fresh and super tasty, it reminds me of home. They not only serve Pollo a la Brasa but they have a complete Peruvian Menu including out of this world desserts. To start I recommend the Ceviche de Pescado Clasico of course, then you have to try Tallarines a la Huancaina with Lomo Saltado, and for dessert the homemade Chocolate Cake with Lucuma icecream. OMG! My mouth waters just thinking about it. Portions are very generous and they offer excellent service. So next time you crave true Peruvian Food give El Pollo Inka a try, you will not regret it!!!! Yumm!!!!Wow Carola..! Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such a great and detailed review, nothing excites our team more than reading an awesome review like yours. On behalf of all our employees THANK YOU!!!

We went for an early dinner. No wait. They gave us a complimentary appetizer. Very good, 2 pcs. One for each of us. We shared a patacones w/shrimp appetizer....fabulous. Then we shared a churrasco steak and fries with a small side salad. Delicious. They have a full bar. Many beers both draft and bottles. Service was very good. They have Colombian and other S. American dishes. Go there.

I had an amazing arepa here. It had cheese and and amazing beef and the arepa itself was perfectly cooked. It was absolutely delicious! The empanadas were very good. My favorite was the empanada con queso. I also really liked the smaller chicken empanadas. The green sauce that is served with empanadas is delicious!I also had some of the other dessert type baked goods. They were good, but I would recommend getting them earlier in the day. They seem to be a little fresher.Great environment right on Washington Ave.
