There were 10 in our party and we stopped in for lunch. Our table faced the patio and beach. Vanessa was our server and stay on top of everything from the time we arrived until completing lunch. The restaurant had modern decor and very comfortable feel. Everything we had from crab & corn crowder, Super green & lobster salad, mussels, blue crab & avocado salad, and sampler platter was delicious. I would hesitate to return to the restaurant and St. Simons Island.

Food was very good. My wife really enjoyed the crab soup. Fried shrimp was good and fries were good. Coleslaw was ok. Service was just ok. Waitress only checked on us a couple of times and our glasses were empty most of the night. The place is pricey for what you get, but again, food is pretty good.

We made a reservation and dined here on the evening of October 11, 2019. The restaurant is located in a large marina complex located on the western side of the last bridge connecting St. Simons Island with the causeway that runs westward to the town of Brunswick, GA and I-95. The restaurant is clean and very modern, but the ambience is pretty noisy, and the prices were a bit higher than what we felt were fair and reasonable for the service and food quality we received. I don't think we would choose to dine here again on a future trip to St. Simons, particularly given the many other dining venues available on St. Simons that would appear to offer better ambience and service. If you are really looking for a romantic place with great food, then make a reservation at Delaney's in the central part of St. Simons. We dined there on our second night, and it was superb.

While Barbara Jeans has the famous crab cakes and assorted seafood options, our family wanted non-seafood choices. The options were OUTSTANDING! The pot roast, grilled chicken, turkey and dressing and chicken fried steak were flavorful and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was casual and we were able to enjoy our family time without being rushed. For options other than seafood-look no further-this is it!

We enjoyed splitting the fried seafood platter. The hush puppies and oysters were especially tasty. Our friends had the grilled fish sandwich with onion rings, which looked delicious, as did their Bloody Mary. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Both she and a manager came by to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The seating wooden bench with no padding, so lingering after the meal while enjoying the complementary ice cream was not comfortable.

Really thought the shrimp and grits were excellent. Liked that salad was served family style with a choice of 3 dressings in little pitchers. Ranch dressing was great. Shrimp and grits had excellent flavor with bits of ham or bacon in the grits cakes. Crab legs were good tasting but really difficult to get out of the shell. Like another reviewer said ... too softly cooked or something because it was extra hard to crack them without the meat sticking to the inside of the shell. Excellent service. Waited an hour on a Sunday night at 7 pm. Be prepared for the wait.

The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and accommodating! We had traveled to St. Simon's Island with one of our small dogs, so it was a challenge to find a resturant that was pet-friendly. There was about a 30-45 minute wait, but well worth it. They were able to get us a seat in the outside seating area so our pup can join us without disturbing the other guests. The thoughtful waiter even brought out a water bowl with our drinks. The bacon-wrapped green beans were a hit!We're so glad you and your fur baby made it out to see us and enjoyed your experience. Please come again soon!! Thank you for your kind review!

We were at a convention vacation. This restaurant offered tasty food and was reasonably priced. There were small and large plate options, and everything we had was fantastic, with the exception of the crab dumplings, which were just not as good as everything else. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer with dipping sauce was amazing. The duck entree was over cooked and the mango sauce a little disappointing. The ostrich entree with port reduction sauce was excellent but pricey at $50.00. The flourless chocolate cake was ordinary at best. Desserts usually disappoint at Delaneyâs. Service was excellent and attentive.
