Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill

Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill, Miami's favorite waterfront grill, is ideally situated on the island of North Bay Village, off of 79th Street Causeway in the heart of Biscayne Bay between Miami and Miami beach. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel for 6 night and had breakfast and dinners at Shuckers several times. We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio, having some appetizers and some drinks. The last evening, we had a full dinner. Kale and spinach salad, mussels and the deep fried red snapper. For dessert we had the key lime pie. Key lime pie was way too sweet. I suggest to cut the sugar content in half. The red snapper was awesome, nicely cooked and served with fresh vegetables on a bed of rice.

Coming from a Peruvian background it is mediocre. I ordered the most common meal that most Peruvian restaurants don't go wrong with, Lomo Saltado, and the meat was raw, the plate overall was a bit dry for my taste. My friend ordered black beans, since she is use to her Caribbean food. However, she had to return it because it was served cold and tasteless. I did tell her that black beans is not a Peruvian thing. I had to order something else and of course had to pay the difference which was a dollar. The waitress was determine I pay that dollar. Anyway it didn't matter because I will not be returning.

We waited almost an hour for the food to be ready. It was busy for a Sunday night. The food was not worth the wait at all, or the money spent. Staff was nice though and did repeating try and check on orders. I ordered chicken tenders, side of fries, green beans, and a side of grilled shrimp. The side of grilled shrimp was $5.99 and I got for shrimp, the fries were cold and there were three small chicken tenders. The green beans were good though.

The pizza is what I've always had while visiting Gol and have always been more then satisfied. This last visit with 5 friends decided to have the lasagna. Not only did Roberto forget to put the order in I had to flag him down since he had not come back to the table since taking the order and my friends were already half way done with their food. No acknowledgement of his mistake which made eating the dry lasagna even worse.Dear Chilrish, First of all let me apologize again for the mistake, that night was very busy and the chef didn’t call for your lasagna, when you wave at me we sent the dish right away. You didn’t like the lasagna? I pass by your table at list 4 times asking if everything was ok, why you didn’t tell me? I could have changed your dish or just waived it from your bill One last thing: you said that you came several times st Gol and you were always satisfied, why you are writing now giving us 3 stars and you never wrote before a better review? As we respect our customer our customer should be fair and not writing only a complain but even a good review, for us is very importantI hope to serve you again to restore your confiance to Gol Best regards Roberto Paresce Manager and Owner @ Gol Italian Restaurant

Surprisingly for a buffet place, their sushi and sashimi were good quality, fresh, and have many varieties. Their hot foods were relatively good and I like the hot and sour soup. They have a hibachi grill where you can select your vegetables and proteins. The crab legs were excellent. They only have the typical fruits like watermelon and cantaloupe. For a restaurant located in south Florida, It would be nice if they can add some tropical fruits like longan or mango. Overall, we had a great experience.

Red Lobster

Be alert! Their website is totally misleading. It states $4 for a glass of house wine, $5 for an appetizer (i.e. Jumbo shrimp cocktail) during happy hour "weekdays until 6PM" and $12.49 for the RL Signature creamy lobster Afredo ("lunch/entrées"). Strangely, we paid respectively $6, $9.99 and $25.99 plus tax and tip on january 22nd during their alledged "happy hour". A real scam. We reported this immediately to Red Lobster but so far they failed to respond let alone refund so you'd better not believe their misleading website and ads. I used to like this company, not anymore... Quite disgusting how they take their "valued customers" for complete idiots. No wonder the place was almost empty. Good luck to them.Hi, EtdP.
