One of the few fish places in Mansfield. Would love to see other shellfish on the menu like lobster, crab, clams, mussells. Fish dishes always come sauced so make sure you request they do not add if you just want a place of good old grilled fish. Salads come with cheese - so be aware. Servers are nice but spotty attention to detail. We are from New England so I guess we were spoiled by good fish places.Thank you for dining with us. Steven's Garden & Grill is Mansfieldâs premiere dining joint since 2001: no pretense or airs- just great food, great company, and great atmosphere! Our outdoor patio and rustic interior will make you feel like you are in the Texas Hill Country. We serve d
I didn't particularly like the place when we walked in. But the place grew on me as the afternoon went by. It is basically a rib joint. Not really much for vegetarians but appetizers and sides. The fried pickles were meh...too salty and no pickle flavor. Loved the fried jalapeno slices. The two young Texas gals who waited on our table were efficient and full of smiles. We kept them busy, as there were 22 of us. Good job on the steamed broccoli and navy beans. So with some creativity mixing appetizers and sides I got my fill. Bill said his ribs were perfect. Bob loved the catfish, Rachael destroyed her chicken salad, and Cynthia said the shrimp was really good. I might be a snooty vegetarian but I can appreciate other people's tastes. Everyone thoroughly liked their food. With a couple of happy hour margaritas to top it all off, it was all good. Good friends (and some new), good food, and good times. Mitakuye oyasin (we are all family) In addition there is a nice outdoor seating area.
Our first visit to The Catch in Mansfield was a pleasant surprise food wise. We met friends for lunch. The downside, we had to clean our own table as there were none that were clean...The upside is the food we ordered was popcorn shrimp baskets perfectly prepared. It's a casual place, no real wait person except the person that brings your food after you stand in line to order it. They do have sparkling water on tap which scores with me. I know we will be back...good food!!
