The location on Porpoise Cove is away from the throngs of downtown Kennebunkport. The food, the service the view were all excellent. The clam chowder was delicious, as was the salmon salad. We enjoyed Andrea, our waiter from Serbia. He was very solicitous. It has the same menu as the restaurant downstairs that was much more casual and not as nice. We made the right choice.

Visited last week and was disappointed in both the food and service.We arrive at an idyllic seaside setting, to find loud music blaring overspeakers in the restaurant ... and get a dirty look when we ask if theycould not lower the volume. Maybe management could give some thought to allowing patrons to enjoy the quietude of the setting, withoutmusic chosen by staff of the moment, all bopping to tunes played.Food was not as good as on past visits. Too bad! Going to take a littlemore attention by management to restore five star status.

The restaurant seems as though it is tucked away like a piece of fine jewelry. The dining rooms are very cozy and the staff is outstanding. Menu is somewhat limited but it was amazing. We had the hand rolled potato gnocchi and shrimp and the braised vegetable tostado. I read some of the reviews where the diners were not impressed. I beg to disagree with them. The food was delicious. The flavors were out of this world. My compliments to the chef and kitchen staff! We finished our meal with the maple meringata. Mmmmmm. Andrew our waiter was great. He knew the menu inside and out and answered every question we asked. Definitely a place to visit while in Kennebunkport.

Fresh seafood, sandwiches, salads, spices, knickknacks & more. You can find everything you need to cook a seafood dinner here. We stopped in to grab a quick lunch. The lobster salad was pretty basic...fresh lettuce, tomatoes, lobster meat served with a vinegarette. Grabbed a homemade blueberry/raspberry crisp to go. It was good, but VERY tart due to the raspberries...would've been excellent if it was just blueberries. The crust was very tasty.

Nice view of the boats. We ate inside because there was no available tables outside. We went here for lunch. The staff was friendly. The food was good. We donât eat seafood so we had sandwiches. We had to park across the street. Very limited parking. We visited end of September and the weather was perfect. HI, MelindaN124Nice to hear you enjoyed your time at the Boathouse! We stopped by Hurricane for a quick lunch and were not disappointed. We were seated at a window table overlooking an inlet and the tourists bustling across the bridge in downtown Kennebunkport. We both had the lobster chowder, which was excellent. Very tasty with chunks of very fresh lobster and potatoes. Will definitely return!

Had a delicious Lobster Roll with delicious potato salad. My husband had chicken and fingerling potatos. Service was so pleasant and efficient, prices were quite reasonable; even though it was a busy night at the restaurant, the waitress was attentive and knowledgable. We had spent more than twice the price the night before in a 'fancy' place in Ogunquit only to be disappointed by the extremely slow service and even some of the food. I'd return to Alisson's ! Arrive early (pre 5 pm dinner hour) for little or no wait.

We celebrated my husbands 60th birthday here. When I made the reservation I told them of our celebration and we were seated at a terrific corner table looking out to the water and garden view. Before dinner we sat on the porch for a drink and to take in the amazing views of the water and rocky coast line. Our dinner was delicious enjoying steak and monk fish. The presentation was perfect and the service throughout our meal was top notch. At the end of our meal they presented a happy birthday sorbet dessert for the occasion which was a nice way to end a very special evening.Dear Soulonthewater,We are honored you chose to celebrate such a special evening with us. Sitting on the porch before dinner is something we highly recommend. The views are breathtaking. We are glad you enjoyed the table and the food. Very unpretentious place with an emphasis on lobster. When we walked in, the place was so quiet. There is no piped in music and diners were concentrating on their lobster. My husband had a whole lobster and I had a lobster roll. Good service and great lobster!!
