My husband is from Louisville. We live in Mississippi now. My sister called to let me know that there was a show on The Travel Channel featuring Louisville, so we watched. One of the dishes featured was the oyster roll at The Hungry Pelican. I love all things seafood, so I had to try it on our next visit to Louisville, and I'm so glad I did. Awesome. I loved it. Everything else at the restaurant was good, too. It was clean, comfortable, and the service was great. All in all, a fantastic experience. I highly recommend.

Everything was fantastic! I stayed in the Ramada with a large group of friends for a nearby event, we were pleased to find there was an onsite restaurant/bar for food and evening drinks.The staff was very kind & efficient to begin our experience. I was impressed how well they handled serving our large group with a small number of employees. The Spot was so accommodating that they stayed open later than normal hours our second night with both food and drink so that we could have an after party from our event. They got someone to DJ & rearranged their floor plan & helped my friends throw a surprise birthday party for me! The food offered is delicious, reasonably (if not under) priced. The portions are generous! They are also equipped with many large TVs so this would be an ideal location to watch sports. Many thanks to The Spot for offering my friends & I a great weekend.

Family visit. Great steaks, as well as oysters. side items are a la carte, making the bill quite pricey. Filet was excellent, the crab cake stuffed trout very good, and the oysters Rockefeller great. The soufflé was also great. Service was very slow, despite our party being one of only FOUR in the restaurant. Fire alarm also went off, a downer but not a harbinger of bad food. Total was $180 with tip for 3 adults. I expected more for that price.Thank you for sharing your review here. We are pleased to hear that you and your family enjoyed your food. My office went to Melting Pot to have a team building dinner experience. We had the best server ever!!!!! Heather was fantastic; she was super friendly and efficient. She completely added the WOW factor to our dining experience. The fondue definitely makes interacting and conversing with you co-workers simple. The drinks are delicious and the 4 course meal is yummy. We started with the cheese, followed by a salad, meat and dessert. Of course the dessert was my favorite course. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I would definitely recommend having our next business meeting at the Melting Pot.

Three of us had dinner there. Food and service were excellent. Noise level was less than on previous visit but still on the loud side. My daughter and I shared itâs spec dinner for two, shrimp appetizer, salads and four different fish dishes as well as a vegetable and potato. All this was just $49. My wife ordered mussels for dinner and had to send them back because even though not mentioned on menu it was overpowered with anise. They redid dish without the anise and it was delicious. We had a fabulous carrot cake dessert and it was enough for the three of us. The cake was not free but they did add a birthday candle. They gave the birthday girl a small box of chocolate bonbons to take home.

My wife and I were recommended to this place and we went there on a saturday about seven-- they were busy but we were seated right away and they took our order in about 10 minutes and then we waited 2 hours before getting our food-- I wouldve walked out but they kept saying -it will be here shortly-- food ok but wont go back.
