We had friends visiting from Chicago, the foodie city. Some of the best restaurants in the country can be found there. We wanted to make certain that we treated them to best dinning experience available.Every aspect of our dinning experience from the service, food and "WONDERFUL AMBIANCE" exceeded our expectations. Weâve eaten at the Mermaid before, but really thought the happy hour was excellent on this trip. The service is efficient, but not rushed. All of the waitstaff are helpful and pleasant and the food is very tasty. We had a mini clam chowder to start, followed by two dozen oysters. At happy hour, oysters are only $1.25...a great deal. My wife then had the crab and spinach dip; I had a shrimp and avocado slider and we shared a wedge salad. As a treat they give a small chocolate pudding as a free dessert. Itâs a great spot for a pleasant dinner.

Small intimate restaurant near Central Park. The owner, Maria Loi is Chief and a delightful personality. Her manager, Alex is charming and attentive. You feel like you just entered your best friend's home. But, even more impressive is the fresh and uniquely prepared dishes. We were saddened we couldn't try more. Loved the fresh lentil soup, grape leaves and fish of the day. The desserts were light - you won't believe their baklava - no butter (made with olive oil) and may be the best I've ever had. All meals are freshly prepared - this place is amazing!

Thank you, Team Flex! What a beautiful evening we had with you all! Your service (thanks Rebecca!), presentation, environment, and, of course, the food (thanks Chef & Team!) was top notch! Your food is absolutely positively some of the best we have ever eaten and made our visit on 1/4/19 one of the highlights of our trip to your fair city!We started with the chowder, beautifully seasoned, creamy, and full of tasty morsels. We moved on to Kale salad with a side of fries (of course, what else does one eat w/salad?!), and our main was San Daniele, complete with crusty bread perfect for dunkin'. Honestly, eat bite was more delish than the prior!While the donut dessert looked tasty, we didn't think we could eat a whole order so Rebecca graciously offered us a 1/2-order. We appreciated that as just a little bit of sugar was just what topped off the meal and made our evening that much more special. The crowd was rockin' post NYE-celebrations and its enthusiastic vibe would make me a regular were I not a tourist, lots o' fun!Thanks again Team Flex Mussels, we so enjoyed our evening with you all!
