The sea food was great, but the prices are double to other restaurant within 100 miters from this one. For the same quality if not better visit NorOeste Restaurant which is within 100 miters of this one. This location is at the end if the sea port next to a sea food processing plant and the smells can get real bad while you are eating.

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times and the food is always amazing. It is a bit pricier than the other restaurants in the city and you can find the same delicious food in many other restaurants, but the food is still great. Planning on returning.

El Refugio

I have been quite afew times to El Refugio.Although they are famous for their roastbeef, I would not try if coming from the UK.Instead, i would let Alfredo recommend me and for sure you will be happy as long as you are able or ready to pay some 50/60€ per head. The wine list is extensive and there you can find most of the best wines in Spain.Seafood is also very good, but pricewise, be careful...Indeed, El Refugio is a good place to choose.Alfredo holds there a quite unique paintings collection,Parking (15 cars or so) available.

Restaurant Casanova

Reviewed By Emma M

Casanova is possibly one of the most impeccable restaurants I've ever set foot in.It was a refreshing case of true "fine-dining" without the exorbitant prices you would normally associate with such an experience, as many of the mains are priced within the €12-15 range. In short, we were greeted by a modern setting but with a clear nod to history (without an ounce of kitch) in a listed building, spectacular service (attentive, cordial, friendly, professional and never overbearing), totally homemade authentic and tasty food and, also, traditional menu but with a distinctly unique personality. For instance, the excellent "almejas a la marinera" was coated in a spectacular sauce/soup that gave it a very special taste that, to be honest, you won't find in many other places.Similarly, one of our mains, "bacalao en salsa de coliflor" was one of a kind and tasted exceptional. It's also worth adding that we were treated to a mini "aperitif" as we sat down: an Andaluz 'shot' of gazpacho, which was top notch. As for the wine, take your pick amongst the Galician best. We went for the most local choice which is a white from Betanzos itself ("vino de la tierra de Betanzos") called "Eladio Migal" and we were in owe. Light, gentle, and with a lot of personality.Just a real pity that we don't live in Betanzos because I'm fairly sure we'd be regulars at "Casanova".
