We were recommended this restaurant by our host. It does just seafood but that was fine with us. The restaurant is small and the decor quite minimal. The young man who worked there was most helpful, even though his English was not good. He went put of his way to ensure all was well with our meal. We shared a platter of fruits of the sea, being oysters, welks, winkles, cockles and crevettes. It was a pleasant evening and we were able to park outside the place as well. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it was fine for us. We would go again if this way.

QG Beach

A very pleasant restaurant with an excellent cuisine, all meals are cooked to order. It is really essential that you book in advance, don't expect quick service, allow yourself 1 to 2 hours. Having said that there are plenty of tables Inside and out. The interior is open to the elements but there is very efficient heating,. the chips are up to English standard.!! With the beach facing it is ideal for children to play as there is no traffic to worry about.

Cafe Jules

Jules and Deborah had our first dinner in Le Pouliguen at Café Jules. An attractive place to eat, the locals siting next to us assured it was good food. We weren't disappointed!! Deborah had Bulots, a dish that she grew up on in South Louisiana, caught fresh on the shrimp boats of her uncles. She enjoyed these bulots immensely. Jules (me) had the PÊCHE DU JOUR GRILLÉE. It was a white fish and was very tasty. The interior was decorated with art of fish and the sea, and even had a giant fish expertly drawn in chalk on their huge chalkboard. And there was a chair with the name "JULES" that reminded me that I was right at home here. The manager was very friendly and we had good conversation with him. We recommend Café Jules!!

We visited this restaurant twice in one week. It does great food, mainly seafood, and has a good, varied and interesting menu. The restaurant is nicely decorated, overlooks the sea, has a good atmosphere and the dishes were slightly unusual and interesting compared with others we visited in Le Croisic. The staff were welcoming and helpful on our first visit but on our second visit, we were served by a rude, brusque and unhelpful waiter who thought it was fine to slam down menus in front of us and bark out our orders. Despite this unpleasant individual we would revisit this restaurant because of its excellent quality of food.

Some of the best oysters and langoustines ever. Really good service and a great welcome. They do equally delicious looking non-fish dishes as well. Best to book in the evening at the weekend.

Le Bistrot de la Poissonnerie

We stopped about 11:15 am intending to only have a coffee. We each had a coffee sitting inside, but still with a view of the harbor. As we lingered, we decided that we needed to have lunch somewhere, and since a table out front with a better view opened up, we should just have it there. So, we moved to a different table, ordered a couple glasses of house white wine and ordered a lunch of oysters and a seafood tray.Excellent food. Friendly service from an English speaking staff. Reasonable pricing. What else could we ask for?

Restaurant l'Ocean

The food at the bistro side of the restaurant was delicious. The assorted seafood/shellfish was an adventure in eating, down to the needle pick required for periwinkles. The lotte wrapped in bacon over sautéed cabbage with potatoes three ways was really good. Service was somewhat disjointed, but they seemed to be missing some staff at opening at 7:15 pm. We had to ask for the olives that came to another table as a nibble. Surprised that the staff was not more facile in English, but we managed with our french. Great sunset view, but must be there early, and with daylight savings time change soon, no view at all in the dark. In addition to the menu, there is a daily special; Thursday was the Lotte. Dear Mule54,We thank you very much for your comment. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your dinner at Le Bistrot. We have well noted your comments regarding the service and I will pass the information to the restaurant team in order to improuve themselve.Looking forward to welcoming you in a near future,Kind regards,Flora & the team

We had dinner here on a sunny evening in April. The menu is small (which I love) and offers interesting choices, everything was fresh, local and seasonal and all was delicious. We had mussles, seafood and fish. Great views over the beach, you can watch the surfers while you eat. Relaxed atmosphere and good, friendly service. Local beer, which is always a plus.I would certainly eat here again.
