Went there to eat fresh fish. The restaurant is rather simple, and is unfortunately dry (alcohol free). It works like a fish market restaurant: we selected the seafood we wanted, asked the kind of cooking we wanted and ... ate it! Simple, but rather good!A great place for fish provided you can have it without a good glass of wine...

I would really recommend this restaurant (aka Le Rouget) for a nice lunch by the sea shore. Fresh fish, good service, quiet location and wonderful view of the bay of Algiers. Thank you for a lovely meal, by far one of the best in Algiers! We would definitely come back again

Nice cozy place, friendly and warm. Food is mainly fish, I tasted an amazing starter of fish soups and then a grilled "dorade". Service is quick and professional. The price is cheap. I recommend it

at 14000 DZD - say over £30 a head - this is not for your unwellheeled tourist. It is also famous in local circles as the place the French Cabinet dined at ensemble in 2013. Several of them were ill afterwards. Our British trio survived sain et sauf, however, and I have not heard tales of others having suffered after-effects. Fish is trolleyed in - a wide range, and fresh. Usual range of Algerian wines (stuck to Rose d'Aboukir). For £30 a head we had entree, soup, fish and veg, and one bottle of the rose. It also has a TV screen in the middle.

J'y ai mangé quelques fois. Les poissons étaient en général assez frais et bien préparé.Je trouve cependant que le rapport qualité-prix n'est pas bon. Aucun cadre, rien de luxueux. Tout est dans l'assiette.

During my stay at Lamaraz hotel, I experienced La Baie restaurant and liked especially the location, the panoramic view the food and the kindness of the staff. Will come back for sure.
