The food here is very good for a local pub and the prices are excellent. While the place is a regular hangout for all types of locals from 20 somethings to the PTA crowd to a seniors, it is also a good place for a family meal - especially with free kids meals from 4-7. If you are visiting the area this is a good spot for dinner and or drinks and I have seen some of the local hotel shuttle vans dropping people off. Finally, they have an excellent rotating selection of craft beers.

I visited that place on a Friday night. There was a 25-minute wait. I ordered a margarita that was really good and great portion (4 glasses in the shaker). However, the food was disappointingly lukewarm. I had the Smokehouse plate (half rack rib, chicken breast, Italian sausage, French fries, corn cob). ALL items were almost cold except the corn cob. There was no reason why my food was lukewarm, since the restaurant was completely full, other than it was long-time prepared in advance and not kept at a good temperature.The service was not great either, as the server really looked "sad". I don't think he was having a bad day.Not sure I would return.

The hostess was very rude, the bathrooms are football stadium condition, the service is horrible especially the way they placed the wine bottle on the table with the glasses and the food is terrible.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. This restaurant came recommended by a friend. The food and drinks were very good. Our server was Madeline and when asked for suggestions, hers were on point. The drinks were a lot bigger than expected and the was a welcomed surprise. Even if you stop in for appetizers, it is worth the trip.Hello, we are pleased to hear that Madeline was able to make your dining experience wonderful and that you enjoyed your drink choices. Great bar, great bar food! My party was 4 people, one had an awesome burger, one had a burger with bbq on it, fabulous, one had a roast beef sandwich, she said it was wonderful, and I had the cheese steak. Now the Cheese Steak was truly something I was so sorry to finish...it was the BEST!!! Now if you are thinking of philly cheese steak, not the same, this one is a real nice piece of a whole steak, not shredded, but when you bite into it, it is like butter...no ripping or tearing it. Just an amazing taste of something SOOOOO tender, covered in cheese and I added mushrooms, which made it perfect. The fries were tasty, and what made them even more tasty was I asked for a side of gravy. The gravy was delicious! We ended with a giant piece of the most decadent chocolate cake...lovely! Can't wait to go back ASAP!!! Friendly waitresses and quick service too. I'm not a beer drinker, but my buddies all enjoyed the extensive selection of beers they have on tap. This is really a great spot, can't believe haven't been before!

Good solid Italian food. Been going there for years. One of my favorites is sausage and pepper over ziti. Very family friendly and experienced and pleasant wait staff. Parking in front or across the street, but when it gets busy you may have to hunt for a parking spot. Highly recommended.Thank you for the great review! We are still a family run business for over 80 years!

While traveling on a motor coach tour of NY City the Holiday Inn was the designated hotel for our stay. Often the restaurants attached to a hotel are not the best but in this instance we couldn't have had a better opportunity for dinning. One night during our visit we were on our own to choose the dinner venue. Many in our group chose Gabriel's and everyone I talked to enjoyed their meals. The cocktail and menu prices were very reasonable. All of our meals were plated well, more than adequate in serving size and most importantly tasted great. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly, had a good sense of humor and served our meal without any hint of pretense. If we lived in the area we'd likely dine here often.

The menu special on Wednesdays is a $10 Loaded Burger, so we decided to drop by BJ's for lunch. The wait staff has a good memory and recognized some in our group, which makes you feel welcome. The table collectively ordered four Loaded Burgers, two classic brisket burgers, and one each of the new menu offerings, a Bistro burger ("beef patty with applewood-smoked bacon, goat cheese crumbles, caramelized onions, tomatoes, spinach, pickled red onions and roasted garlic aioli on a toasted parker house bun") and a Mushroom Swiss Burger (beef patty with sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, red onions, lettuce, tomatoes and roasted garlic aioli on a parker house bun). Everyone seemed to like their burgers. Although presentation was good and it was tasty, I did have one complaint: when I first picked my burger up getting ready to take a big, a very large amount of grease drained out of it and made a pool on my plate. I suppose some of it could have been from the Swiss cheese, but certainly not all of it. I'm not sure how they are cooking them, but it was a big turnoff.Burgers are served with a generous portion of fries (I learned yesterday you get free refills), which were crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle and perfectly seasoned. I can't imagine getting a refill. Service was fairly good and reasonable quick and at $10, the Loaded Burger is a good value. I think next time I'll try the Bistro version.

I have been to The New Park Tavern three times now. The first was sort of a last minute decision as my regular watering hole had a power failure and the kitchen was closed. The last two tomes because I really like the food and atmosphere. A large round bar with 35-40 bar stools in the center with another 15 or so high top tables in the front area and a large low table seating are in the back room make for a larger place than I am used to. The menu is extensive, I have had the wings, a Calzone and the Genaro steak hoagie and they were all exceptionally good. The one concern on food was the buffalo chicken tenders, mushy with a ton of vinegar (READ CHEAP HEAT) and a small portion equals an unhappy experience. The next day, the wings were terrific, so fix the chicken tenders issue....Very personable staff, knowledgeable and friendly. Quick to offer suggestions and recommendations based on preferences, very helpful.My first couple of trips, I sat at the high tops and got a bill for food and beverages, when I sat at the bar, I had the bartender send a waitress over for the food order and received two bills. As this place has been around since the 1930's, I would think they could get this worked out...All in all, a very good experience with a few points that could be better, but a good enough experience and value that I keep going back.
