Table service has improved immensely and is now beyond super good. Go for the Friday Fish Fry Special, a dynamite choice. The white fish fries are cooked perfectly and served piping hot. Cole slaw is also perfectly made and fresh. French fries are also perfect. All in all, the Friday Fish Fry is just a nice warm cozy treat for everyone. Local craft beers are top quality. Lawson beers are abundant and fresh from the brewery. There is easy parking. The restaurant is much cleaner than in 2016. Overall General Starkâs Pub passes with a full inspection. The Pub is much improved, and the General should give everyone big shiny medals!

I had a great chicken sandwich prepared and served by friendly people. Just another part of the overall excellent MRG experience. And the prices are right. That meal would have cost twice as much at the big mountains and I never could have gotten at table at peak lunch hour.

Great food for all our out of town family and friends who came to VT for my daughter and new son-in-laws wedding. We had the after after party at the smokehouse from 11-1 pm. Quite the spread after the wedding and bonfire. Delicious!

This place opened about 8 months ago and it is lovely inside- all wood with high cathedral ceilings. If you are coming here it is for the beer and they have a number of them on tap so you can definitely find something you like. My personal fav was the Maple Nipple and my husbandâs was Sip of Sunshine. Service was spot on. You order at the bar and if you want food- very small menu- you pay for that and get a buzzer. We had the everything bagel pretzel with a beer cheese crock that was good although you had to pay extra for the cheese crock. we also had the charcuterie and while the cheeses were good, I would have preferred a little more or perhaps bread instead of the lavash. It was good but not worth the price. There is a large outside seating area and they have some corn hole games. Seating is great. Since it was hot and sunny when we were there we sat inside as there were no umbrellas. I must be getting old :)Definitely stop in - the beer is great and service could not have been better.

My family and I stayedin the area for about 1 week during Spring break. We found out about The Blue Stone by accident and it was a great surprise! The food, the service and the vibe were great! Itâs a really good place for families, couples or groupe of friends + the prices are reasonable (compared to others in the area)

Stopped here on a Friday night. Was seated upstairs where there were lounge chairs and pub tables with benches. There were also table games like shuffleboard, air hockey and foosball. Relatively quite meal in a well lit area that is 2 levels.Menu selection is not as extensive as some but does cover beef, chicken, and fish. We ordered chix wings and commented that we should have ordered again. Very good and flavorful. We both had the Rib Eye. I had to send mine back because it was not cooked enough. This is one of the most delicious steaks I have ever had.Definite repeat when in this area again.

Casual, fine dining. Farm to table cuisine evolving as seasons and product availability change. From local chops, daily seafood specials and vegan offerings. Our belief is that food is art, reflecting on the local culture deeply rooted in its fields and p
We tried this place for something different than going out in Burlington on a Saturday night. Everything was just ok - the bread they served wasnât warm and seemed cooler than room temperature. The charcuterie was decent but nothing special for the price, the fish special (mahi) was also decent but the veggie sides were soaked in a super salty sauce. The lobster tortellini was tiny and seemed to be missing the lobster and the sauce was just meh. Our waitress was very friendly but our requests to the bar and the chef for our order got screwed up. She did comp our 2 drinks ( a seltzer and a beer). Weâre glad we tried it and it wasnât bad but itâs not a place we will return to next time we are in the Mad River Valley.

A casual Restaurant and Tavern offering the freshest ingredients, produced by local farmers whenever possible, for creative and healthy fare. Wine list and micro-brews on tap featuring up-and-coming brewers. Friendly, accommodating. Makes you feel at home
Our party of 4 had dinner here while in Waitsfield area. We were wanting more casual, comfort food that night, and this place hit the mark there. Everyone liked their soups, sandwiches, and salads - mostly seafood types of items. I chose the black bean burger with side salad. I was a little disappointed with the burger - not as much flavor as I'm used to this type of patty. But overall a nice meal and very friendly staff.
