We went to Hefâs for dinner while visiting the area. The atmosphere is nice and has TVs to watch the game. They could use another waitress however it seemed that they were training one so this may not be the case all the time. The food was good however I was expecting the chili to have a thicker base, it was more broth like. The flavor was good just different than expected.

We spent two evenings in the Pub and enjoyed the atmosphere and the cold beer. Our server, Rebecca, was friendly and efficient, always there when we needed her. We ordered a shrimp basket as a snack and it was very good. One evening they had live music which was a little loud but we moved to a table further back in the room and it was more enjoyable.

After all of the great reviews, we went out of our way to stop for lunch and a brew after hiking. Boy, were we disappointed! The "restaurant" was a taco food truck out in the parking lot, and out of the list of brews, there were three available. We ended up leaving, and driving to the Peddlin' Pig tavern in Boone, N.C. Much better!!
