Local friends took us to the new Bricks and Barley restaurant in Virgil just 10 minutes from Old Town NOTL. We are so pleased they did. Great service and good food. We enjoyed wood oven pizzas, The Veneto (asiago-artichoke base, chicken, bacon, mozzarella, caramelized onions, spinach. and the Fungus Among Us (Garlic olive oil, selection of mushrooms, caramelized onions, fontina, rosemary.)There local beer selection is excellent and a nice change from the ever present wine in the area.

Absolutely best venue to eat, drink and tour. Itâs a community focus gathering place. You can tour the winery, distillery and brewery. Janet (the flight attendant) was the best tour guide ever and we always do tours across the continent for wineries, distilleries and breweries. Zac is the best bartender. Richelle is the best waitress! These Canadians know customer service!

My friend and I have been visiting the lounge at Queens Landing 2-3 times a month for the past two years. We are both in the service industry and work close by. Yes, it is a little over priced but we did not mind given the cozy atmosphere and view. This used to be our favourite place to stop by after work however lately we feel the lounge has gone downhill. The service is horrible. We have noticed the last couple visits that the servers do not quality check tables. Not once in our last couple visits did a server ask us how we are enjoying the food/drinks. Last week my friend asked for another drink, and it was never brought to him. Tonight we were one of two tables in the lounge and never asked if we wanted another glass of wine (which we did), never asked how we were doing, and had to eventually flag someone down and ask for the bill (which I hate doing). I can see this happening if the lounge was busy, but when there are two tables and at least 3 servers working this should not be the case. It seems like the service staff do not help each other. We were cleary sitting there for over 10 minutes with empty plates and glasses while other servers walked past back and forth and not offering any assistance to one another. Our last few visits have been less than enjoyable. Needless to say we wonât be returning.Dear Jessica,Thank you for your feedback regarding the Lounge experience, it will help us with improving our service and quality. We train all our staff in service first training and we were disappointed to hear this is not what you deserved. I have shared your feedback with the service staff, our Restaurant Manager, and Executive Chef. Totally unexpected and delighted by all six of us. We could not get a suitable reservation at a competitive eatery who then recommended Butler's for the food. We went, were nicely greeted and seated by smiling staff. Inside, the place looks like a pub, but with a very pleasant and bright restaurant on the side and separated from any pub noise. The menu is varied and has some delicious items as well as signature pizza. This is way above your traditional pub food. There was something for everyone, male and female ages 12 to 80. We will be back

We really enjoyed our lunch and would definitely go back when in the area. We enjoyed an amazing burger that was properly cooked to order. The service was very friendly and responsive, very different from another review i have read about this location. The restaurant was very clean with plenty of space to enjoy a meal without feeling crowded. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Our party of two enjoyed a light dinner in the centre seating area of this lounge. Our seating was comfortable with wing chairs and a round table. We ordered the daily special of Churchill burger with salad and iced tea as well as an ancient grains vegetable bowl with salad and peppermint tea. Liquor is available. Our party of six enjoyed the well prepared English style Pub fare.We found the menu quite appealing. All our entrees were perfectly seasoned and attractively served. We had fish and chips, bangers and mash, seafood pie, scallops wrapped in bacon and kidney pie. The craft beer and local wines were likewise very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are most reasonable especially in the heart of the historic district. We had a reservation and were glad we did since the pub can get crowded especially on weekends when there is live entertainment..
